People bring their kids here and the kids run around so already it’s not a safe situation. Many owners do not make their dog back away from the gate so when a new owner and pup come, it’s easy to let someone else’s dog out by accident which I witnessed. I first got there and there were not any dogs but slowly a few nice pups arrived. Then it became a clear “mommy hang out” clique with their dogs and kids who must frequent the after school hours and claimed a table. I suggest finding a time during the day for your pup instead otherwise good luck with the mommy and me crew and a bunch of dogs with inattentive owners.

We did most of our puppy’s training here. Usually it was an hour and you get a certificate and picture at the end of the six weeks. You cannot beat the prices here and I’m very excited that they’ve added a cool trick / game class for high energy/very bright dogs ! Due to the pandemic, they were extremely flexible when re scheduling sessions had to occur.

This always has everything we want and I love that we can order items ahead or do curbside pick up. Staff is friendly and it’s always busy! location is perfect because it’s next to target and party city. It is also close to Giant and shopping center!

It is a tiny zoo but I found it perfect for my puppy to walk around and see and hear and sniff new things! Employees were great and we got a little goodie bag! All dogs were leashed and safely distanced. Highly recommend to get tickets early if you’re just starting looking for small walks with your pup!

great shaded place to walk our pup! The green ribbon trail that connects to Wissahickon valley park is unfortunately closed due to an off leash dog interaction and a coyote but we’ve never had an issue walking our leashes dog. great long hike!

I love this park. Even on a busy day I was able to park in the lot. I saw people fishing and tables open for people to sit. I took my puppy on a nice long walk. The trail is very long and connects to multiple trails with small bridges and even a little water area for our pup to splash in. While I didn’t let our pup play in the areas, there are two areas for dogs to play for large and small dogs separate. Overall it was a great experience walking her and I try to go often to get her on a new trail each time!

I liked that it was a very long area you can walk with your dog around the lake. I did not like how narrow the actual paved path was and felt too close to all of the many people and dogs walking. I saw a lot of dog owners decide to walk their dogs on the grassy parts instead due to the high volume of people. I didn’t enjoy it as much as I was hoping too. I think if it was a less crowded area and bigger main path, it would’ve be more enjoyable but I felt like I had to rush us around.

The paved path is small but a good walk for a young or older dog. The field paths are more fun and wide. A lot of people walking or walking with their dogs. All dogs were leashes but the parking lot is very tiny so you have to hit it at a good time if you don’t live near by. people are friendly. It is a nature preserve so you’ll see foxes and deer and do not go at night/too dark because of coyotes. Unfortunately it is closed temporarily.

signed up for the dog days at Elmwood park zoo and even with Covid restrictions it was cute! it is very small but to take a puppy still learning how to leash walk-it was the perfect exposure for her! The staff was great, we received a goodie bag, and it was fun leash walking her around to see the animals and the zoo. I would definitely sign up again for a short walk.
