Will Definitely Return
Tapatio Springs Hill Country ResortAfter an epic fail at another hotel during a hurricane evacuation, we found this place and it is wonderful! The staff is friendly and very accommodating. They allow dogs for $25 a night. Plenty of grass, walking trails and dogs are welcome at the restaurant on the patio. Great pool with a slide for the kids. Very quiet area (cannot hear people in other rooms). We will definitely be back!
Not So Dog Friendly Location
The Gunter HotelThe staff were friendly, we’ve stayed here plenty of times prior to getting a dog. This trip, we evacuated from a hurricane, found Sheraton Gunter to be “dog friendly” and booked. Got to the hotel, we were put on the 11th floor, down a long hallway. Took our dog to the front to ask were he could go potty at, were told across the street there is grass, just pick up after him. Took him to a small patch of grass at a bank that clearly had signs stating to keep dogs off of the grass. Was greeted by a security guard who said we were not allowed to walk dogs on the bank’s property and would need to walk the dog to a park a block down (which happened to be closed). Not a good area, not ideal for any dog. Will pick a hotel with grass on their property from now on.
