be careful - monitor your bills

Studio 6-Statesboro GA

Good location. This was a last minute hurricane evacuation so not enough time to research or find much. It's just ok. This is a typical motel with kitchenette. Nice to have fridge, toaster, micro and dishes but had to buy dish soap/sponge to wash mugs. Safe area close to university and hospital. Bring your own toiletries: they only provide soap. No blankets either. Same sheets for days but they did replace towels; worked around my pet schedule to provide cleaning when asked. Pets are welcome - no fenced area but grassy area adjacent to parking. Outside is brightly lit at night. I prepaid for my room then paid my dog fee the day I arrived ($10 night). I signed on a small pad for the dog fee which should have been $40. I asked a few times for receipts. No paperwork at checkout either. After I settled at home, I called back about a receipt. That's when I saw I was charged again for the room on arrival. I Called MC/VISA to confirm. I prepaid on one card then they billed my other card $409 instead of just dog fee $40. When I called he denied this at first. I reminded him he told me on check in I was prepaid and he was billing me for the dog fee. He then credited the amount back to my visa account (minus dog fee) and emailed another receipt.

great spot to walk dog - also has fenced dog park

Blind Willie McTell Trail

Large fenced dog park separates big and little dogs at the beginning of the rail trail by center of town. While there are trees along the trail there aren't any in the park so it gets hot. There are water bowls and swings for humans in the area. Free parking.
