I am a wife and mother to 2 girls, 1 dog, 5 cats, and 3 horses. We travel often and take our little rescue mutt with us.

Great Food and Kind to Our Pup!
Nola Southern GrillWe were traveling on a 100° day, but their fully shaded patio with fans was still comfortable enough for us to dine outside. Super sweet waitress brought our dog a bowl of cucumber water with ice to help keep him comfy. All 5 entrees were delicious. Highly recommend the red beans and rice and anything with the sauteed gulf shrimp!
Dog Friendly, EXCELLENT wings, great food
Island Wing CompanyWe stopped in on a sleepy Sunday afternoon in late July while on a car trip. Temperatures were close to 90° , but their shady porch with ample ceiling fans kept us and our little mutt cool and comfortable. Sweet waitress greeted our dog first, bringing him a big bowl of ice water. He thanked her by forgetting ALL of his manners, jumping all over her, wrapping get legs tightly together with his leash, then sloshing water on her shoes, all of which she handled with grace and ease. Our lunch was excellent. They bake rather than fry their foods. Wings, fries, and green beans were crisp, crunchy, and flavorful, missing only the unhealthy grease! We also had tacos and flatbread at our table. Everything was excellent. They have good daily drink specials. We took advantage of the $2 bottled beer. Great place to stop! Giving only 4 bones because on a busy day, it might be hard to get patio seating, they have about 10 tables.
