Little Rock getaway
Holiday Inn Presidential Little Rock Downtown an IHG HotelThe hotel staff were very welcoming to our dog. There is a huge, beautiful park one block away that we could walk with Mac and enjoy the crisp fall morning.
Our second visit to a great hotel
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham EugeneCar trouble caused us to unexpectedly spend the night in Eugene. We had stayed at this hotel before, so booking it through BringFido was a no brainer. The hotel is right across from a large and interesting park that has a very nice off-leash dog park. Also there are walking trails along the Willamette River leading from this park, with beautiful views of the river and lots for our dog to sniff. The desk clerk at check-in was very dog friendly. We got a king sized bed. The shower was great. The pool is open 24 hours/day and was fun to swim in early in the am. They serve a good free breakfast. We will absolutely stay here again if our travels take us to Eugene.
Great food, great service, great wine!
The Broadway Wine MerchantsWe had a superb meal! We stumbled upon the restaurant when we had car trouble in Eugene. What luck! When we arrived, the owner himself insisted on moving our table out of the hot afternoon sun. They brought water for our dog right away. We had a beautiful wine from the foothills of the Pyrenees. We split an excellent Caesar salad. Then my husband had a baguette sandwich, the Luigi, with roast peppers, artichokes, kalamatas, pesto, cream cheese, parmigiana and arugula with a cream of tomato basil soup. The soup was delicious! The sandwich had a great mix of flavors. I had a one-dish meal called little Italy, with sautéed onions, cherry tomatoes and olives covered with polenta and a burrata. What a fun combination! If we lived here we would eat here a lot!
Great pool
Holiday Inn Conference Center Edmonton South an IHG HotelWe had a great night’s sleep here. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed and pillows. The shower had good water pressure. The staff was friendly and efficient. I used their pool early early in the morning and had an entire swim for 45 minutes by myself -- I recommend this highly! The only drawback is some sketchy people hanging out front, but there were no confrontations, no solicitation, no crime. It may just have been my perception. It certainly would not keep us from returning.
Unbelievably great food
Sprezzatura RestaurantOn a sunny Canada Day afternoon, we had a leisurely lunch I will long remember. our dog was warmly greeted and given a large bowl of water. We had the burrata and prosciutto appetizer which was fabulous! Then my husband had a boar’s meat pappardelle plate that had perfectly al dente pasta and a rich deep flavor. We shared (and brought some home for later) a ‘Nduja sausage pizza with thin crispy crust and very light cheese. The sausage is a spicy Calabrian sausage that was delicious! The wine list was varied. Our waitress Paula could not have been a nicer human being. We are thrilled to have found this restaurant!
