The food and service here are consistently excellent. Serving sizes are generous and it’s just such a nice, friendly place. The patio isn’t huge and it gets really busy so some days in lucky some days not as far as getting a table outside but it stays on my list of places to bring my pup! They also bring water bowls and dog treats.

I stopped by this evening. There were tables and chairs on the patio but when I enquired inside, with the completely disinterested looking greeter, about sitting outside I was told brusquely that they aren’t allowed to serve outside. I asked why not and the answer was ‘manager’s orders’. I said well I guess that answers my next question about whether I can eat outside with my dog and he looked at me like I was wasting his time. Which I guess I was. A totally lackluster experience. I ended up eating next door at Fiesta Jalisco where I and my dog are always welcome. I do have to bring my own water bowl here though.

The location was good. A bit of a trek off the highway but nice space outdoors for pup to stretch her legs. No issues at all with check-in or the stay but the rooms - at least the one I was in - could really do with a refresh and a deep clean. The staining was a bit off-putting and clearly the cleaning cloth/mop used in the bathroom was not itself clean. It wasn’t an awful experience, but it was just ok.

My pup and I booked from the parking lot as we were passing through this town and I have no complaints. We had a perfectly adequate room on the ground floor and there are a few areas outside to walk with them along with poop bags supplied, which made it all the more disappointing that visitors didn’t clean up after their fur babies. Dogs can’t come to breakfast but other than that the hotel was welcoming to us both.

I randomly stopped here on a road trip and honestly it’s made my day. dogs are welcome inside, staff love them and the atmosphere here is cool and welcoming. plus the wine by the glass was delicious!

The ice cream here is delicious! My pup and I both enjoyed it immensely. I might try one of the desserts in a jar next time, they looked amazing

I found this place to be TRULY dog friendly, not just paying lip service. Outdoor area is large and beautiful, bowls of water come without asking and then from a food and drink perspective my brunch was spot on. highly recommend.

Canova Beach is a ridiculously short stretch of beach that doesn’t come close to giving the number of dogs who use it enough space to stay separated from each other if they desire. Add in owners whose dogs should not be off leash because they don’t recall on command and it can make for a miserable experience if your dog doesn’t like being approached assertively by strangers. And then on top of all that people (without dogs!) set up fishing poles within the confines of the dog beach leaving even less room.

Other than people walking past my room at all hours of the night (doors are all external), I have no complaints. The room was comfortable and my pup was welcome to stay. No special treats or treatment for her but also no feeling of not being wanted either. All good.

This hotel made a good first impression. I was happy with the level of cleanliness and it was a comfortable sleep for my pup and I, though it wasn’t overly quiet so it was a little difficult to get my pup to settle. But overall it was a good experience, I’d stay there again.
