What a surprise!

From the front the Best Western Tomah Hotel doesn't look like much but it has so much to offer as a dog owner. They have an internal courtyard that is quite spacious just for dogs and a large lawn out back with a path leading into a small forest that is next to the hotel grounds. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Rooms are spacious and they are about to be updated so will be really nice in several months. It was quiet despite being near a highway and as I said nice outdoor amenities for our large dog. Highly recommend this hotel for a stay if you have a dog with you.

A gem of a hotel

The Ruby River Hotel was at the top of our list of hotels on our cross country trip. Step out of the hotel and you are on a path that goes along the Spokane River and connects into town. It was a wonderful long amble with our dog and so accessible from the hotel. The staff were so welcoming of our large dog. The room comfortable and spacious. Really liked this hotel and will stay there again- with or without our canine companion.

Nice location

With trepidation I had made this reservation near a Medical Center? Noisy I thought; turns out it was a medical center for animals as the hotel is right behind the Red River Zoo! The hotel had great access to green areas right behind it for our dog to play ball and even run around within a fenced area after a long day in the car. walking accessible and an emergency vet nearby! Worked out well.

Stupendous Location

First, have to give a shout out to the staff who were so extremely friendly and helpful and eager to help us find a place to take our large dog. And they hit the recommendation out of the park. Just a mile down the road is the Spring Lake Park with a mile and a half walking path around a pond. Really pleasant. They also have three enclosed good sized dog parks: one for large dogs, one for small dogs and a third with a skills course set up. Big sized spaces seemed well kept and clean. A surprise to find something so nice and so close to the hotel. A must visit if we go again.

Access and walking

Great access from the far end of the hotel. Private entrance almost which let us out onto a side street. Some green area next to a fenced school and sidewalks to get past a small mall to access a good neighborhood for long safe walks. Excellent location next to the highway but so quiet at night. Staff friendly. Room good sized and clean.

Dogs Welcome!!

The hotel was well located for jumping on and off the highway. Room was comfortable. Not a lot of green space near the hotel but good sidewalks to walk on.

Dogs Welcome!!

This two-story hotel was a wonderful two day stop. No elevator so for dogs scared of elevators no worries. There is a green strip behind and in front of the hotel for walking and for those with dogs who need to walk, its an easy mile or two walk along the highway on a sidewalk into town. Close by is a dog- friendly barbecue restaurant which allows dogs on their outdoor patio. Staff was fantastic and welcoming.

Quiet and Friendly

So this hotel is right next to the hospital so we expected to be really, really noisy but not at all. Rooms were comfortable. Our dog welcomed with a treat. Nice walking areas with sidewalks and beautiful neighborhoods to meander through. Not very close to downtown so a bit out of the way but for a road trip the perfect oasis despite being next to a hospital.

Five bones, four paws and an energetic tail wag

Can't rave enough about this hotel. It was stupendous. Downtown. Welcoming staff but most most importantly a HUGE field behind the hotel right next to a fantastic river walk - it was just great!! Dogs welcomed at outdoor seating at restaurants (for the most part) which is just two blocks away. This was hands down the best dog-friendly hotel with fantastic amenities nearby for dogs.

Near the highway but had plenty of sidewalks

The hotel was just off the highway which was great to not have to search for it. It was fairly new. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Our dog needs a walk and there were good sidewalks, good fields to wander into but it is next to two construction sites so not sure what will be the situation in later years. Walla Walla very dog friendly. The City Park wonderful for walking and playing ball- not too far away by car and dogs welcome downtown at outdoor seating at restaurants. Excellent site with access to the highway and the town and a good solid dog-friendly hotel.

Riverside walks make this a special place

Although we didn’t get a room with hillside views as advertised we did get a comfortable large room with plenty of space. But what makes this hotel so special when traveling with a dog is the easy access to the paved path that runs along the Willamette River, north into Portland and south to the Sellwood Bridge. Along the way are parks and even a large enclosed dog path. Perfect for long walks to take in the views. Really special and perfect for dogs and owners alike.

Great access to park and walking path along the lake

The lodge was well located to provide access to the lake and the walking path. Also for humans close proximity to food- highly recommend The Daily Bagel for coffee snd bagels. But the hotel. Covid raging snd checked in by someone not wearing a mask so before we settled in I felt I had to clean down surfaces because wearing a mask is easy so since they didn’t do that, not comfortable with the on line assurances re covid practices. The walls very thin. Not the management problem but we heard everything from the room next to us. Glass and trash in the parking lot so if you have a vacuuming dog...keep an eye out. Some upgrades to rooms like a new bathroom fixtures but fraying carpet in the living space. Bed was comfy. In the end being close to the park snd lake was a big plus but without a fog I’d unfortunately give it a pass.

Well located Hotel Room to Access Outdoor Dog Space

So the Comfort Inn seemed less clean than the other hotels where we stayed. Our dog was sniffing all over the room which made me believe that perhaps the room had not been as thoroughly cleaned so there were remnants of other scents etc. The room was at the end of the hallway (116 if anyone wants to ask for it specifically) near the side door access out tot the small green dog area so that was very convenient. The staff was friendly and prepared for our dog's overnight stay. We like to take long walks and the hotel was located in an area where there wasn't access to a neighborhood or green areas for our walks. Its a very commercial strip but otherwise it was fine.

Dog Heaven!!

The highlight of 'Fido's" trip. Room was spacious and comfortable. Although our room faced the parking lot, just a quick walk out of the 'patio' door lead to a HUGE fiedl in the back of the Hotel- Just heavenly for a dog. He bounded in and out of the high grass, raced up the 'hill' where the hotel has a flat grassy area perfect for playing ball etc. Really was a dog paradise hotel. Due to the pandemic, just one wing of the hotel is open but there are enough rooms for travelers and pets. Can't say enough about the hotel and its resources for 'Fido'. The staff was so kind and welcoming. 5 Stars+ for having the space for running, playing and resting.

TREATS GALORE!

The staff was ready for us! Treats at the front desk for our pup. The room was roomy. the staff was great but no great space for walking which we like to do. We did head off to a local park however with our dog and he really enjoyed the outdoor space- we just had to drive a couple of blocks to it and it worked out well. Quiet and clean rooms- no past pet smells in the room. Can't say enough about the staff- they were great!!

Laramie Holiday Inn Great Spot for Our Fido

The Holiday Inn in Laramie was great! Staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was on the 3rd Floor but that wasn't a problem as our pup doesn't mind elevators. Room was quiet, spacious and clean- no other pet smells to interest our dog. The dog area is pretty well kept up; it's a triangle space with two sides fenced in and ample supply of dog pop bags. If you're looking for other places to walk, just two blocks away is the college campus which we walked (masks required) but it was great to have it so close. Two blocks another direction is a walking path that winds around the city and gave us and our pup a good long walk. We really enjoyed the hotel as did our dog.

Tight space but room to roam

So at first view, the hotel was not too exciting- its on a major highway BUT the staff was great, the rooms are small and tight but very comfortable and surprisingly quiet. The room was clean (I evaluate that by the way our dog sniffs through the room and there was no sniffing so no smells for him.) No dog treats for the pup but that's ok. What was great was across the parking lot was a large green area that goes behind the local businesses near the hotel. It was pretty clean of trash and there was a lot to sniff and mark. After first impressions, we were pretty pleased with the hotel and the staff was very nice.

Great Location and Walking Opportunities

If your Fido needs long walks this hotel is perfectly situated on a street with a safe sidewalk to walk on for several miles. A green strip separates you and your dog from the traffic and there are condo communities on the other side so plenty of good smells. The hotel staff was wonderfully kind and the hotel itself clean. Traveled during the pandemic and the staff wore masks, there was contact-less check in and out, grab and go meals etc, Other than the high (but not unexpected) pet fee, the hotel is very pleasant and offers access to a safe long walk after a long day in the car.
