Great Place for the Pooches!

I found this park with my husband and our dog, and we love it. It's wide open, lots of parking, lots of space. A section for larger and smaller dogs. Water and bowls. Lots of shade trees around the periphery. The parcours items are fun!

I recently started dog sitting and have a client with 2 dogs, and one of the dogs is reactive to other dogs. So (with the owner permission of course) I brought them to the park during the day, during the week and waited for it to be empty. They had a blast! then when the next park patron came, I alerted them and they graced me a few minutes to grab the dogs and put them in the car. Sweet! (and thank you kind lady).

I don't have a dog any more but when I do this is at the top of my list for Orlando parks. Only thing that could make it better would be swimming!

I'm going to try it again with another customer in same situation (1 lover, 1 fighter). At least they're not doomed to a life with no dog park, when you have an awesome one like that!

Awesome and Be Prepared for a Hike - Bring a Wagon

We love this beach! We throw the wagon, towels, cooler and dog bowl in the back of the van and go super early before the boaters start making wake. Water is awesome, virtually no waves so good for teaching doggie to swim. It's easily 1/2 mile from parking to first bridge across the marecage to beach. Wear comfy shoes and if you have a lot of stuff use a wagon. Many families bring a tent and set up for the day. $10.65 parking fee. Well worth it!

One of the Best Dog Beaches on FL East Coast

Love this beach, though the waves can roll a big pooch if they aren't experienced swimmers. We try to go early in the morning when the water is calm. Most owners keep their doggies close by or on leash. No poop on beach, everyone scoops. Never had an issue with any pets or owners so far in half dozen visits.
