Nice Spot with Friendly Accommodating Staff

The Pines Cottages

I’m going to put the negatives first but not because it was a bad experience - just to get them out of the way. I was in cabin 5. The first issue i believe will be resolved by the next guest qs i made them aware. The shower curtain was two long and i stepped on it and slipped. I caught myself before i tanked it but be aware. The other issue was the heat. If you turn it below 60 it kills then pilot light and maintenance has to come and relight it. Had no idea and woke without heat after a 30 something degree night. Also the grate that the heat comes out of is large and you have to pass over it to get put of one side of the bed; but the grate gets VERY hot and i highly recommend not stepping near the center barefoot like I inadvertently did.

I also wasnt a fan of the bar height table in the kitchen and it would have been so nice to have a small coffee table in front of the sofa.

All that said, they are super responsive when you have an issue. We didnt need to wait more than 30 minutes for maintenance and i asked for extra trash bags at one point and they showed up stat. When i left some stuff behind after turningnin the key someone met me asap at the cabin to let me back in. The cabin itself was adorable. The hot water heater is in the closet and is huge so you can take a long hot shower no problem.

Theyre super pet friendly (to the point that they’ll leave treats for your fur babies and there’s poop bag stands for cleaning up after your doggos) and i traveled with cats but the closet had ample room for the litter i brought which was in a full sized rubbermaid bin to keep it neat and all together (Also the headboard had this high ledge the cats loved to lay on). If you don’t want to leave your cabin there are tons of great places that either deliver directly or through door dash. The highway is close so they leave you ear plugs in case thats a thing that bothers you. Curtains do a fair job at blocked out light and a great job keeping your close neighbors from seeing you get out of the shower. All the cabins have pretty much whatever you need (except ingredients) to throw together a meal (even the tiny ones).

Also they don’t make you cage up your well behaved pets when you pop out.

All in is a very good space at a reasonable price and i recommend it especially if traveling with pets.
