If you’re desperate

Atrium Inn

The Atrium looks like it might have been a swinging place with a hokey charm, 40 years ago. We came in late and desperate, and were attracted to it’s funky covered garden style pool and jacuzzi area in the photos, however it was all closed for the winter season when we arrived. This Hotel is extremely dilapidated, it’s creepy in all the wrong not cute ways. As a woman, if I were traveling alone, I would have felt extremely unsafe there, and even though I have a 70 lb pit mix, I would not have felt comfortable walking him for a night time potty break. The hotel seems to attract unsavory guests.

The room was poorly lit with harsh white/blue spectrum bulbs, had an unpleasant smell and pieces of the flooring were missing. The bathroom gave me Ick vibes. It’s the kind of room you don’t want to let your bare feet touch the floor in.There was barely a blanket on the bed, it was more like a king sized plastic cheep table cloth covering a fleece throw that was just as thin as every air plane blanket I’ve experienced flying coach.

I’ve given 2 bones only because the couple working the late night shift were kind, as we came in well after midnight and the poor dears were sleeping on the couches in the lobby and we had to wake them up. And also because the hotel lobby was heavily decorated in a hodgepodge of mismatched Christmas fair of various vintages; more than a dozen tiny stockings with a number of names hand written in puff paint adorned a wall, which gave me the feeling that this place was run by sweet people who have just fallen on hard times.

Great stay

Hotel Havana

The pet fee is $25, no size or breed restrictions, which is so refreshing since my fury travel companion is a 70lb pitty mix♥️ .
