Fun and fantastic selection of tacos
Velvet TacoNot too far off the highway, the Fort Worth Velvet Taco is well worth the detour. The taco creations are varied and delicious and no one even blinked when we strolled in with our dog to order at the counter. There is a covered patio for dining in - right on the road, but not much traffic - and the server said if the weather is inclement and the dog leashed and well-behaved, one could eat inside without a problem.

So great!!
HOT Dog ParkAfter reading so many reviews saying this place was overgrown and unkempt we were so pleased to see it mowed and well maintained! It is spacious, has varied terrain, supplies of poop bags and receptacles, and fresh water stations. A local told me the original owner of the lot has passed away and it is now run via volunteers and donations. It is well worth a detour off the highway and a donation to the cause (donation info on sign at front gate)
