Clean and updated
Inn at Mount ShastaPretty close to the freeway, two level motel. It’s had a nice update with stylish fixtures and fun wildlife art in the room. The rooms have a keypad entry and we were provided a number code rather than a key. We also filled out registration on our phone. Check-in was easy and the staff person was helpful. The room was clean. There is a propane fire pit at one end of the inn, and a fire was going the night we were there, which was an appealing feature. I subtracted a bone because I thought the coffee service was not the best (styrofoam cups and powdered creamer), and I thought the pillows weren’t good quality. These are not major issues, and I would definitely stay here again.
A treasure by the sea!
Cambria Shores InnWe loved this place! Our partial view room was wonderful. Real cotton sheets, real coffee cups, plates and flatware. Breakfast delivered to rooms in the morning in a charming basket. Lots of lawn and Adirondack chairs to enjoy the view. Right across from boardwalk, and the street was only 25mph. Clean and quiet. Cookies in early afternoon and brownies at 5pm. 4 cup coffee makers in the room. Coffee and tea in the lobby. Good tea, by the way. Very dog friendly. Cute sheets overnight the white bedding. I did not want to leave.
Convenient but loud
La Quinta by Wyndham TemeculaGood rooms for pets, no carpet. Close to freeway, parking is easy. Breakfast fare was adequate for a very affordable room. But the lack of soundproofing was a problem. We could hear people talking on one side and kids crying on the other side and every foot step above us. Of course nothing can be done about that, so just be aware.
