Silliman Dog Park
James Rooney Memorial ParkThis dog park is not listed in Fort Stockton, but definitely find it on a map. It is a sweet little find that includes agility equipment and grassy areas for dog play. It is a long relatively thin fenced in dog park with a kids park adjoining at the back. There was only one other dog there when we. visited, but the dogs had fun. our dog has some agility training, so finding a place to practice was great!
Wonderful place to take a break
Gringo Theory Patio BarWe drive with our pup (now 18 months) from Michigan to California by way of Texas 2 times a year to visit kids and grandkids, so we have been to tons of dog parks. This park is really special. It is inside the patio portion of the Gringo Theory Patio Bar. The dog area is nice and clean with both grass and gravel areas. There is a dog pool (not filled while we were there) and a dog ramp as well as a fire hydrant, balls and plenty of seating for owners. Although there were no other dogs there when we visited at around 3:30 in the afternoon, what could be better than sitting with a basket of fries and some drinks while letting your dog play, chill and be totally spoiled by the wait staff who provided dog cookies and an icy water bowl on our arrival.
New address and nice rooms

Location just built and rooms are nice and clean. No carpeting in room which is great if you have a dog that has accidents. We were pleased that there were two small dog runs on the property, but disappointed that dog owners left lots of dog poop on the ground in them - especially since they have plastic turf in them vs dirt or cement. People, these clearly are for dog play, not poop. That’s even what the sign says. if your dog does poop, clean it up. Really!!!
