Decent place, dog friendly
La Quinta by Wyndham Charleston RiverviewThere isn't a whole lot that is within walking distance of the hotel but it is a short trip from downtown.

Room smelled like smoke
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Savannah SouthsideRoom smelled terrible. The location isn't the best but it's an easy drive to downtown Savannah

Great location, love the pool!
Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel an IHG HotelExpensive, but very nice spot for a couple of nights! Love the proximity to the beach! Only downside is that dogs were not allowed by the pool area itself.
