Better for biking

This is a wide paved trail that was converted from a rail line. We came in at the White Oak entrance and headed north. Bicyclists are allowed, so we had to make way for them a lot. The part of the trail we were on was mostly bordered by sub-developments set not very far back in the woods, so the scenery wasn’t great (though we did see a box turtle crossing the trail). No water or poop disposal stations. Probably a great trail to bike on, but don’t think I’ll take my pup back.

Steep hills but gorgeous walk

Hidden gem! Went on a weekday and only saw one other person. They aren’t kidding about the bluffs: a lot of the walk is alongside Swift Creek with drops from 1 to 6 feet, with a couple of places where a pup can get in the water, and later on you encounter the “stairway to heaven” with a steep climb upward. After that you come across a peek at a golf course. Great, interesting loop.

Great beer, great place

Cute little house / brewery with terrific outdoor space with highly diggable mulch. Haza Daze IPA is my brew.

Big and grassy and fun!

So different from the all-mulch places. This is a great place to hang out for humans as well as dogs. It’s huge, and it’s like it’s own park within a park. Bring lots of water since there isn’t an installed water dish, though there are old dishes around you can pour water into. No benches or shelters for humans, but temp bleachers or the ground make a nice place to sit.
