Room was clean and staff were friendly. There’s plenty of room outside to walk your dog and a waste bin. The hotel is located right off the interstate, which is nice when you’ve been traveling for a long time!

I stayed here twice-once when traveling down and once again when coming back up. The hotel was easy to get to, is at a great location, and has plenty of parking. It was clean and the rooms were soundproof. This was a plus as my dog sometimes barks when people walk outside of our room. Anytime I’m in Nashville I’m only staying here!

It was bigger than I expected, plenty of space to walk around with beautiful scenery. There was also plenty of parking and it was free!

I’m giving it a 4/5 only because the walls are paper thin. The people above me stomped around and it sounded like elephants! I had to call the front desk because it was so loud my dog started barking. After that it was a little more quiet but I could still hear them. Some people are just foot heavy. Other than that the location is great-lots of grass to walk the dog and it’s near some restaurants and a grocery store. Another good note is the rooms were clean.

It was just me and my dog, we stayed here as we were driving through. It was a great choice. They did not give me any trouble checking in with my dog and reminded me there was a $20 pet fee (my dog is 60lbs). It’s a good location, right off the highway. If I am in Springfield again I will definitely stay here.

I recently moved to Iowa and live close to this Historic Site. I come here a lot with my dog. It’s a nice, safe place to walk and my dog can sniff around while I read the podiums outside the buildings. This place would also be good for people traveling through. It’s right off the interstate and there’s restrooms in the visitor center and a few near the picnic areas.

I came after the park closed but I didn’t want to go in any of the buildings anyway. It is a nice place to walk and there is information outside you can read. My dog had a great time sniffing around.

I got there mid day and had the place to myself. We didn’t stay long because it was hot and my dog doesn’t like trains. It has a nice view and I felt very safe. I also wanted to note that I used the directions posted on the parks website—make sure to do that.

The place was clean and close to restaurants. We used their order-in service and it was quick and easy! We will definitely stay here again if passing through.
