Wow! Must visit!
Bar K Dog BarWe stopped here on our way home from a cross country trip. I was super impressed! The “dogtenders” keep an eye on the dogs at all times and they are attentive and on it at any indication of doggy shenanigans! Also, if you go make sure you tip them!!! There is a tip machine at the counter at the outdoor bar. You better tip them because they are awesome! This place is amazing. Go!

Beautiful view
Motel 6 Astoria OrI paid about $100 for a King River View room on the first floor. Positives: the amazing view which is rare for a motel 6, quality service from front desk, no pet fees, very convenient places to walk the dogs along the beautiful river front, appeared clean and smelled as if a bleach solution was used (important for COVID). Negatives: free wifi wasn’t working, mismatched furniture with signs of wear, stains on bed skirt (dirt and obvious wear), audible neighbors (I could hear them through the walls but it was quiet when they went to bed), and horrible shower head and water leaked all over the bathroom floor. The room is very very basic. Think hostel room.
