Great spot to stay with pets

We stayed at The Ethan Allen Hotel with our two dogs on our drive from Virginia to Maine. The hotel was welcoming and offered plenty of space to walk the pups. We were pleasantly surprised to find a huge amount of green space next door at the Ethan Allen HQ where the dogs enjoyed a decent romp.

Great hotel

We enjoyed our stay. Hotel was clean and the rooms were nice. The hotel is in an office park area, so not a ton of green space, but there are sidewalks for walking. We would return. Also, there is a 24/7 vet about 500 feet from the hotel.

Avoid If Non Smoker!! Not nice

We planned to spend 3 nights at this motel with our sheltie, Peter. We reserved a non smoking room. The outside of the motel was in disrepair. When we got to our non-smoking room, it reeked of cigarette smoke. An ashtray sat on the nightstand and their was a cigarette burn in the bedspread. Just awful.
We managed to find a much better hotel- TRYP by Wyndham in Lawrenceville, PA which accepts smaller dogs and was so nice!

Ok Location

We were traveling with two small dogs from Virginia to Maine. We selected this hotel due to its location just a tad north of New York City. The hotel lobby was clean, but small. We had no problem getting to our room on the second floor, but noted that the corridors were dingy. Our room smelled a tad of cigarettes, , but maybe more because of the multitude of other occupants smoking outside of the hotel. We kept our window open while there which helped with the smell. Overall, the room was clean though not luxurious. We had a kitchen area that had a “wood” laminate floor. The outside area was sparse with a bit of grassy area for dogs. Not much or great. The hotel seemed to be minimally managed at the front end and attracts a lot of young party folks. We slept well, but probably will not return.

So Fido Friendly!!!

We needed a place to stay for us and our senior dog, Peter, and Tryp was there for us! We were greeted with treats for Peter and a welcoming environment for us! The hotel is beautiful and the staff were wonderful. We felt so welcomed at this hotel! Thank you Tryp for making room for us and our fur baby Peter!
