Worst stay of 3 cross country trips!

Anchor Bay Inn

The rooms do not have AC and it was hot. There was a fan but I did not feel safe leaving the window open once we went to bed as it was at the walkway. The bathroom was in rough shape and the toilet desperately needed a new seat. The area to walk to dogs was a small patch of overgrown waist high grass by a dumpster.

Nice room but noisy

Best Western Plus Wendover Inn

I debated between a 3 and a 4 but ended up going with the 4 because the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was good. However what I read in other reviews was true that you could here a lot of noise from above and also water noises. At 5:30 am it sounded like there was an aerobic class going on over us but then it quieted back down so maybe they were just a family hitting the road early. I also usually avoid places that will not let us leave the pups in the room unattended but there weren’t really any other decent area choices. They did make me confirm and sign at check in that they would not be left. So we got some take out dinner and swapped off going down for breakfast. There is a small grassy area in the back. It was well picked up but part of it was a bit muddy from what looked like some kind of leak. All in all a clean, decent place if you are passing through on a road trip.

Hidden gem!

Cobblestone Inn & Suites Oberlin

We were traveling from IL and wanted to see Hannibal and Marceline MO and then drive until evening before stopping. The hotel only had 1 BringFido review but we decided to go for it and it was great. Room was up to date and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. They did not allow the pups to be left in the room but we were just looking for somewhere to rest so it was perfect for us. Plenty of open space to walk the 2 dogs. There was even a complimentary breakfast in the morning.

Great location and staff!

Wild Bear Inn

The staff at the main desk texted every day to see if we needed anything. The location at one end is the Pigeon Forge tourist strip and 15 min to Gatlinburg was perfect. The room and bathroom could really use updating but the bed and pillows were very comfortable. There isn’t really much area to walk the pups but you could take them for a walk down the sidewalk.

Great casual dinner!

Luella’s Bar-B-Que

it was a rainy evening so we looked for somewhere with a covered patio and Luella’s has 2. Plenty of water bowls around. We had the Mac with burnt ends and the deviled eggs and both were awesome. Had a great local cider to go with it.

Great stay

Best Western Plus Villa Del Lago Inn

We drove an extra hour because the reviews of this hotel were so much better than the budget hotels near Sacramento. It was well worth the drive. The room was very clean and the bed and pillows were super comfy. It was also very quiet. There was plenty of space to walk our 2 pups around the outside of the building.

Nice rooms but need to update their website

Aloft Nashville Franklin

We recently drove from FL to WA with our 2 pugs and stayed in 6 different hotels along the way. The Aloft had very nice rooms. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom set up was nice. The reason I’m not giving them a 5 is the area to take the dogs to go potty was very small and unfortunately not everyone cleans up. Also it was the most expensive of the 6 places we stayed and the only one that did not include breakfast. Their website currently mentions a goody bag for the pups but they weren’t given anything. The front desk staff was super friendly and overall we enjoyed our night there very much.

Room smelled great!

Comfort Suites Speedway - Kansas City

We recently drove from FL to WA with our 2 pugs and stayed at 6 different hotels that we booked through BringFido. I waited to write my reviews so that I could compare accommodations. The first thing I thought when I walked in the room was “wow, this place smells great”. Unfortunately we’ve had some experiences in the past where the rooms haven’t. The bed was very comfy and there was a separate couch and sitting area and still plenty of room for the pups crate. The shower had great water pressure which is always a big plus for me. The breakfast in the AM was ample and they had 2 kinds of waffle mix for making fresh waffles. There were plenty of open areas around the hotel to walk the pups.

Amazing if traveling with human kids

La Quinta by Wyndham Rapid City

We recently drove from FL to WA and stayed at 6 different hotels with our 2 pugs. This hotel has an amazing indoor water park that I’m sure is a blast for families but we just had the pups with us. The room was very nice except for one stain on the rug which the pups fixated on when we first arrived. The shower was the nicest of all 6 hotels on this trip. The relief area for the pups was gravel and Astro turf. Our girl is particular and needs real grass so we had to walk over a rocky area to get to some between the hotel and hwy. When we went to bed that night we could hear people walking above us but we had gone to bed fairly early. When we woke up we saw some black bugs on the ceiling which definitely weren’t there the day before. The front desk called them elder box bugs I think and said they had been unusually bad this year so I’m assuming they are like the love bugs we deal with in FL. The complimentary breakfast was the standard stuff.

Friendly staff and walkable neighborhood

Baymont by Wyndham Bozeman

We recently drove from FL to WA with our 2 pugs and stayed at 6 different hotels. I waited to write reviews so that I could compare them all. We arrived a bit early and I walked in during a staff meeting but someone jumped up and checked me in. The room was very clean but a bit dated. It was nice having a first floor room with a door direct to the outside and then another door to the hotel interior. There was a small area to take the pups but there was also a sidewalk so we were able to take the pups for a real walk which isn’t possible at a lot of places unless you just walk around the parking lot. The bed was very comfy. The breakfast was good and they had make your own waffles and also had eggs and bacon. We saw a sign that they had a water slide but we never walked down to look at the pool.

Best hotel of our cross country road trip!

La Quinta by Wyndham Coeur d`Alene

We recently drove from FL to WA with our 2 pugs and stayed in 6 hotels. I waited until the trip was done to write reviews so that I could compare. This was by far the best hotel of the trip. We arrived early and luckily the very friendly desk staff was able to check us in. That gave us extra time to explore Couer D’Alene. The room was the biggest one we’d had with lots of room for the pugs to run around and play. Their outdoor area to walk the pups was also the biggest and nicest grass we had seen all week. Just go to the front end of the hotel and walk up the tiny hill and there is a lot space up there to walk around. The water pressure in the shower was great and they also had the best towels of the week. The complimentary breakfast was the normal stuff along with pancakes and sausage. It was a great place to stay for our last night of a long road trip!
