Beware
Red Roof Inn GallupStray dogs living in back parking lot made it horrible; they charged me and my dog every time we left the room. I had to leave the hotel to go to a gas station down the road so my dog could go to the bathroom. The room was moderately clean. It was on the backside of the hotel by train tracks; didn't bother me but may if you are a light sleeper. The cable and wifi worked for about 30 minutes and then didn't work the rest of the night. As a solo traveler didn't exactly feel the safest especially being on the backside of the hotel. The staff was not friendly but not rude, just kinda there. I am avoiding this hotel if I ever needed one in this area again
Good for 1 night
Copa MotelThe room was clean, the staff was nice. There was no dedicated pet area but there is plenty of grass around.
Fun Experience
Roadrunner LodgeRoadrunner was very accommodating to me and my pup! It was a great experience to stay in a motel like this. The dog area is wonderful with toys, bags, shade and lights all night long. They really did think of great details to make staying more enjoyable. The one downside is besides a few close restaurants nothing else is around it.
Hotel was nice
SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Kearney Liberty NorthThe hotel is nice, room was good. I liked that the flooring was not carpet, helpful with pets. Plenty of grassy area around the hotel. I really liked the Kearney area, lots of parks, dog parks and places to walk. Only drawback was they put me on the second floor with no elevator. Carrying in stuff from a road trip was a workout!
Did its job
Days Inn by Wyndham Liberal KSThe hotel served its purpose as a place to stay 1 night on a road trip. The staff was friendly and the lobby is updated, but rooms are in desperate need of updating. They were considerate of me and my pet and gave me a room close to the door where the pet area is located. Pet area is decent.
Hotel was good
SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western San Bernardino SouthNice room! Had grassy areas to let pets take care of business. Had a lot of rules.
Ok
Quality Inn Near Hearst CastleHad a good courtyard to take dogs. Was a clean room, definitely could use a decorative upgrade
Ehhh
Red Roof Inn & Suites MontereyThe hotel room was nice, the location was a little sketchy, was definitely followed around by a homeless person while walking my dog. There is no good place to take the dog to go potty. At night the parking lot and property are well lit, and by that I mean you wouldn’t know it’s night time bright.
Served its purpose
Magnuson Hotel Park VueThe hotel was just a place to sleep on a road trip, the A/C didn't really work, the fan on the unit was just blowing room temperature air into the curtains. There was a leak under the faucet and the carpet was soaking wet. No problems with the dog and there is a nice park across the street where dogs can be walked easily.
