We sat on the patio. We had to order at the counter. I waited with the dog. We brought our own water dish. There was no service out there, except for the lady who brought our pizzas out. Maybe it was just an inattentive crew? The quality of the food made up for the so-so patio service. The pizza was great and it is definitely worth giving them another try.

Sometimes the dog patio is like the “crying room” at church. Locals’ patio is nothing like that.

Locals restaurant is set into a gorgeous old building with Mediterranean architecture. The covered patio, with its bricks and greenery, is evocative of a corner bistro in Spain. Our server, Sienna, was just as nice and attentive as she could be and brought our dog a water bowl with ice. Order the Blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich. It was amazing! But you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. It’s all made in-house.

There were shrubs planted next our table. They were basil plants. I saw a beautiful sage plant as well. No doubt both were used in menu items.

The next time you’re in the Mobile area, take a drive to Fairhope, on the east side of the Bay and try Locals.

Moe’s menu offers crowd-pleasing items with a delicious and fresh twist. Their barbecue is outstanding, with or without sauces. The salad was scrumptious. Their staff is warm and welcoming. There’s dog-friendly shade on the patio and Zoe was offered a huge water bowl with ice. You must try Moe’s!

Jaco’s is located right on the bay. We saw several yachts parked in or entering into the inlet next to the restaurant, which made for some interesting views. The service was prompt and friendly. I felt the prices were a bit high, but I guess that was to be expected for the resort area of town. I had hoped to have a bit more food on my plate, but oh well, Jaco’s was a very nice place and I still recommend this restaurant highly.

We were seated on a covered patio and water was brought promptly to our dog. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip, a hamburger, and a Caesar salad with blackened shrimp. The food was delicious and our server was attentive, warm and friendly. We recommend the Beach House heartily!

We arrived at Café Maspero during one of NOLA’s legendary rainstorms. It’s situated in a beautiful old building. We put the dog under an indoor table and she was happy as a clam. The service was outstanding, warm, and friendly. The prices were reasonable. We recommend Café Maspero.
