Nothing superior about room
The New PioneerWe chose the Superior room over the Standard room. Would hate to see the Standard room. Supposedly the "New" Pioneer... all they did was slap some paint over damaged walls (dripping down door frames and baseboards) and switch out (some) furniture and light fixtures. Door lock didn't work at times. Hair left in shower. Baseboards filthy. This is a motel, not a hotel, so expect to hear a lot of parking lot noise all night long. No dedicated pet area, so be prepared to walk a distance to the few tiny grass areas and bring your poop bags. We were given a note when we checked in that cleaning services are only available every 3 days of stay. 2 complimentary bottles of water, but no fridge, microwave, or coffee maker. Thankful we only planned a one night stay.

Great service!
Applebee'sBeautiful weather for lunch on the patio. Our server Jamie was attentive and the food was good as usual. I did bring our own water bowl and had it full before she came out, so not sure if they would have brought one out on their own. Only 4 bones because I reserve those for establishments with doggy menus. We'll definitely be back.

Courtyard view room a must!
Golden Nugget LaughlinBeen to many dog friendly hotels and so far, this one has been the most convenient for midnight potty breaks. Glad we opted for the courtyard view room. Sliding door opens to a personal patio space with table and 2 chairs facing other courtyard view rooms with grass area in-between. Doggy bags and trash can located almost out of sight at the far end. Pet rules reasonable, although I wasn't expecting the rule that if you leave your pet alone in the room they want it to be in a crate. My fur baby doesn't use one, but she's well trained and quiet, so they didn't know. No carpet in room, which is understandable. The room was nice enough, and fairly clean, but I noticed dog hair in areas along the baseboards. Still, the convenience of the potty area right outside our room means we'll definitely be back.

Just ok
Best Western Town & Country LodgeI should have researched better, as I didn't realize this was not a motel where we could park in front of our room with an outside door for easy loading/unloading of fur baby and luggage. Didn't see the valet trolly til we'd already gotten settled in our room, which fortunately wasn't far from the lobby. Standard King room spacious and clean, but had a strange odor. No specific doggy relief area or bags but there are a few wood chip planters. Breakfast from 6-9am, and I mean 9am sharp! Staff started putting things away at 8:50, closed the doors exactly at 9am. Sign said no breakfast food in rooms but we weren't finished and didn't feel comfortable staying, so we took our food back. Plenty of drive thru and sit down restaurants nearby. Overall, hotel was ok, but personally, we won't be back.

Comfortable stay
Best Western Horizon InnFriendly staff. Smallish planter area with doggy bags. Nice to have working ice machine in a "vending/ice machine" room (need room key for access). Clean grounds. Standard King room was clean as well, with plenty of space to spread out. Need to cross busy street to get to large community dog park. Breakfast had a great assortment, our favorite being the biscuits and gravy. We'll be back!

Unexpected delight
La FiestaStumbled across this restaurant and couldn't be happier. Staff super friendly, food delicious. Large patio seating where they had a bowl of water out for pups to share. Overall, fantastic experience.

Will be back!
Best Western Palm Court InnStaff super friendly and helpful, from check-in to continental breakfast. Didn't see specific dog relief area, but there was a continuous strip of grass in front of every room. Doggy bags available at front desk. Standard King room small but updated and very clean, no smell. Plenty of nearby restaurants for takeout. Perfect one night stopover on trip through CA.

You get what you pay for
Motel 6 Manteca CAI don't mind an older motel as long as it's clean. Our room was filthy and reeked of stale cigarettes. Hair on the floor and bathroom counter. The toilet paper holder wasn't secured to the wall. Light switches were dirty. While there was an ice bucket in the room, the ice maker was broken. The lock on the door didn't work. Nightfall brought all the long term residents home and they were very loud all night long outside our room. Beds were very hard. No toiletries provided. Didn't find the doggy area with bags until we left, but there was a small dirt area in parking lot we used. Overflowing, highly nauseating outdoor trash cans every couple rooms. Pros: check-in clerk friendly, walking distance to numerous restaurants and liquor store, and cheap. Guess you get what you pay for.

Tasty novelty
Salty's BBQ & CateringDogs welcome, but bring your own water bowl. Bella enjoyed the bits of brisket we dropped down to her. We tried the Special, a sandwich with brisket, pulled pork, and coleslaw on a garlic bread bun. Brisket a bit tough, but all the flavors were delicious. Good size outdoor patio dining. Order inside an old train car and they bring it out to you. Smoker/grill on site. Featured on Diners, Drive-In's and Dives. About 2 miles off fwy. Overall, glad we went.

Dog Friendly but not Dog Catered
Common Block Brewing CompanyLarge grass amphitheater behind restaurant with doggy bags. Large outdoor covered eating area dog friendly. Walk up outdoor bar where you order food and beverages. Nice selection of their craft beer. Iced tea served in super ice cold metal cups that stayed cold throughout, but ran out quick with no refill. Food took a long time to come, but the chicken tacos, cumin paprika chicken wrap, and loaded chili fries were excellent. We had to go in and ask for dinnerware and napkins after being served. Cloth napkins were a nice touch, though. We weren't told about the self-served dog bowls and water, but we spotted the station after a while, so look for that. No dog menu.

Good sandwiches
Dill's DeliA few tables outside. Nothing special for the fur baby (hence the 4 bones) but our made to order pulled pork sandwiches were delicious. Tons of options for bread, meat, toppings, etc. Close to fwy.

Amazing experience for all
Louie's Restaurant and BarBeautiful patio seating area. Water bowl brought right away. Special fur baby menu with large portions. People menu with wide variety of options. Chicken pesto sandwich was delicious. Almost every table had at least one pup. Friendly and attentive service. Will definitely be back on our next visit.

Comfortable stay
Best Western Windsor InnAll pet friendly rooms on ground floor with a large grassy area right outside the door with doggy bag station. Very clean grounds. Room was large, clean, and fresh smelling. Only negative for us (which doesn't affect the bones rating) is that they advertise rv/trailer parking, which is not accurate. The first night we had to back our box trailer into a spot and unhitch it. The 2nd night we were able to move it to a better spot, parking it across multiple spaces. The hotel has limited parking, so that was not ideal. Will definitely stay here on our next visit, sans trailer.

Surprisingly fresh smelling
Best Western Willows InnWhen we saw "all rooms pet-friendly" we anticipated a typical pet smelling room. Not a whiff of pet. Room felt like it was brand new. Concierge was pleasant and helpful. Small pet grassy area in front between check in and street with bags, but well lit. Car parking close to rooms with Rv/trailer parking in the back. Small town. Only pet friendly restaurants were Starbucks (literally right next door) and Nancy's Airport Cafe which closed at 3pm. Ordered pizza delivery for dinner.
