Live in Salt Lake City with my husband & 2 rescue shihtzus Ollie & Bella who love to come on road trips around the west with us.

Well preserved charcoal ovens in this out of the way state park, scenic trails

Fascinating old ghost town, interesting historic structures to explore. Restrooms available.

Really unusual art installations here in the middle of the desert next to the ghost town of Rhyolite. Def worth a stop!

Weird but fun attraction on hwy95, if you’re driving through Goldfield take a pit stop here, our 2 dogs were happy to stretch their legs

We enjoyed strolling through the date groves with our 2 pups learning about the interesting history of this out of the way date farm south of Death Valley. Loads of hiking trails around the property

We enjoyed a delicious lunch on the covered porch with our two dogs. It’s a great little place to stop while exploring the Death Valley area on the road between Baker & Death Valley Junction, also one of the few places with WiFi (you can log into free WiFi provided by the little museum next door). Food was very tasty & there were water bowls provided for the dogs.

Enjoy a beer
