Exceeded expectations!

This Hampton Inn was a great surprise. Miguel at the reception desk couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. It appears the hotel was updated over the past few years and the public and private rooms are very nice and clean. Rooms have microwaves, refrigerators and safes. The included breakfast is quite good for a motel chain and there are plenty of fast food places nearby. There is a Walgreens on one side and an Exxon on the other side. The parking lot is well lit and has plenty of grassy spots to walk the dog. It was a great value and perfect for my one-night stop.

Underwhelming

I wish I could give higher marks to this hotel, but they put me and my dog in a poolside room over New Year's Eve. I never thought to ask if there would be a celebration and they didn't tell me. It was horrible--incredibly loud techno music pounding for 5 hrs until 2am. A poolside room was no good for someone with a dog -- too much opportunity for the dog to bark. The staff was very nice though.

Disappointing and exorbitant pet fee

The staff was nice but my room was icky. Huge stains on the carpet plus one on the couch. I had to put towels on the couch to feel ok sitting on it. Bed was comfortable, sheets clean. I liked the kitchenette with sink, microwave and refrigerator--but weirdly no dishwashing soap or kitchen towels supplied. Nice hot breakfast included with a variety of options. Great location opposite a mall and next to Chik Fil A. Parking lot was well lit and had places to walk my dog. I'm only giving three bones because of the $75 dog fee--way too high for a no shedding little dog like mine and offensive given the stains on the carpet.

I love this place!

Excellent location, friendly helpful staff. Dog fee at $100 is excessive but I'd stay again because room was great -- full kitchen, very clean, comfortable bed, nice views of the bay. Parking lot is good for walking the dog, great breakfast (my dog loves the scrambled eggs at these hotels). I felt safe but I was told not to walk around alone after dark.

Great stopover!

This motel isn't fancy but it's clean, safe and friendly. It's also very reasonably priced with a great attached restaurant ($10 buffet breakfast for motel guests). Big parking lot with green areas to walk dog in. About 20 minutes from Bird in Hand.

Excellent stay!

I can't say enough about how great this Aloft was for me and my small dog traveling alone down to Florida. It is very safe, has a well-lit parking lot with grassy areas and is located in a mixed-use complex just outside of Charlotte. Staff was so friendly and accommodating, I loved the modern, fun vibe and decor, and there was no pet fee. Refrigerator in room. You can order chicken tenders and pizza at the bar and there is a well-stocked snack shop. They even put out water and milk bones for the pups.

Good, safe stopover

As a single woman in her 60s with a small dog, I am concerned about safety as well as cost and cleanliness. This Clarion is next to a national park, so not a truck stop but more of a tourist hotel, a little shabby but comfortable and clean. Ample outdoor lighting and spots to walk the dog. Great breakfast buffet included in price. $50 extra fee for the dog, excessive for one night for a small non-shedding dog. Wish Clarion would rethink that. Still, good experience.

Great stay!

Hotel is very nice, restaurant has excellent food, right on harbor walk. National Harbor is a fun, attractive community to walk around. I felt safe walking my dog at night. Parked for $20 a day a block away.

Great B&B

Wonderful, friendly service from Tyler and Parker. Great location, charming decoration, and full breakfast included. Recommend--just call to check on available rooms--each is different. Disappointed my friend and I booked together but were in different buildings. My room in the carriage house was larger and brighter. Her room in main house was small and dark, on 3rd floor (no elevator), bed was uncomfortable. Parking reasonable at $7.50 a night.

I loved staying here!

I'm so glad I sprung for The Brice instead of staying in a motel outside the city. It's perfectly located in the historic district and very dog friendly and safe (I am traveling alone). They provide dog beds on request and you can leave your dog in the room as long as he/she is quiet. There is a well lit park within a block to walk dogs in. Refrigerator in room.

Serviceable, easy on-off to Rt 95

Country Inn is reasonably priced and ideally located if you are going up or down the 95 corridor. Staff was nice, room was clean and bed comfortable, engineered hardwood floors are great for dogs, love the microwave and refrigerator in room, and free grab and go breakfast. Big area to walk dogs, including an enclosed run, but many guests didn't clean up after their dogs--that is so gross and inconsiderate. Seems to be a truck stop. As a single woman with a small dog, I felt vaguely uncomfortable/unsafe here so wouldn't stay again.
