Wow! Talk about dog friendly! Dogs are welcome anywhere in the open-air restaurant, on the patio, or in the bar. It’s right on the Dog River (how appropriate), so the river view is excellent. There was good live music, & the staff was all friendly. The food was good, with a selection of burgers/sandwiches, fried seafood, salads and appetizers.

We drove here, but people were arriving by boat also..

What a great off-leash beach! We made several friends and had a great time chasing a bumper in the surf and a ball on the beach. It's a nice long strip of beach with plenty of room to get in a good walk too. Definitely coming back here!

We stayed here with our 90# lab. He requires a first floor room, so if that's something you need, be sure to ask, as they have 2nd floor pet-rooms, too. The room was comfortable and roomy, with two doors that opened to small outdoor "porch" areas. The hotel is in walking distance from Morro Rock and the Embarcadero/marina area, and a short drive from the Morro Bay Dog Beach (off-leash beach! 😀). It appears to be a family-run inn, and everyone we encountered was courteous and attentive. Would stay again!
