Overnight stay

Nicely updated, very clean room. Spacious. No problems at all with our dog. He was allowed to sit quietly at our feet for outside dining in their restaurant - the Steelpan. Food was tasty but odd they use powdered potatoes for their mashed potatoes. If you need gluten free, your options will be limited. Also, be aware that an 18 percent service charge is automatically added to your bill at the restaurant, regardless of size of your party.

Hotel seems to be a favorite for the cruise crowd. Lobby was very busy Monday morning. Overall a good visit. We did not use the beach across the street as a lifeguard told us that stretch was not dog friendly. The parking is valet and they were very pleasant and speedy. We did notice two small charges from the gift shop that we did not make. We did spend quite a bit on dining at the hotel - three meals - so were surprised that the manager was skeptical about the eight dollars we were charged erroneously to our room charge. But they did finally remove that charge.

Perfect for us

We had a great overnight stay at this hotel. Nothing fancy but very clean, quiet and comfortable. The town of Fredericksburg was lovely and there were many restaurants. We got takeout from the Firebird Wood Grill and it was outstanding. We needed a few grocery items and went to a beautiful Wegmans nearby. Our room was large, had everything we needed. Breakfast was very good and it was free - large selection. Parking was easy. We would definitely stay again.
