The Colony provided a very nice dog friendly vacation retreat for my husband and I and our 5 year old Black Labrador. This was one of the few vacation spots I could find that allow big dogs (which I find baffling as it's been my experience, it's little dogs that make the most noise!). Dogs were welcome everywhere with the exception of the carpeted formal dining room and the pool deck. They even have a dog friendly beach right across the street. I highly recommend this hotel for dog lovers.
