We enjoyed a great walk with our dog on Jan 31. We arrived as they opened at 8 am and appreciated knowing about the 4.00/person entry fee (free for Veterans) in advance. We chose a starting point and then walked mostly along the historic auto route so that we could also see the preserved Civil War and town sites in the order of the brochure. So glad there were also loop trails into the woods and beautiful trees with identifications. The war sites were well explained and the beauty and peacefulness of the park was perfect to support our 5-6 mile walk.
