Should Be Above Average But

Dedicated dog area behind the hotel with poop bags and garbage cans. Dog friendly staff. The discarded toothpick from a previous tenant presents a choking hazard, is extremely gross, and really negatively influenced this review.

Appreciate Location

Not really with dedicated dog area but good roaming area. Off the major road so only traffic is hotel traffic. Human rating is lower than above posted because he’s not a big stickler, but it’s an old property that smells like smoke and definite shower leaking mold.

Redefining the Rating

The hotel is on the water in Jack London Square and is a tourist type area-hectic evenings and weekends but quiet during the work week. There are many walking options with car traffic walking towards the city are or without cars walking along the waterline where the ferry lands and boats are docked. The staff are amazing and cared for Chewie or had the grace of believably pretending to. I tagged this as "redefining the rating" because my previous ratings might have been biased by human standard. Chewie is looking forward to going back to this hotel and is her favorite so far.

Lively Location

Beautifully appointed hotel with dog bed/bowls ready in the room and potty bags with the lobby staff. Caveat to the location is lots of people and bars down the street so some dogs might be overwhelmed. In the immediate hotel area it’s nice and quiet.
