Absolutely loved this charming motel filled with character and hospitality! Rooms and grounds were immaculate and comfortable. Desk staff was friendly and helpful (recommended a terrific dog friendly restaurant called the Shanty in town). Lovely green spaces to walk your dog with well housed chickens, turkeys and rabbits to visit. Lovely little pool (again, immaculate). This is a true find at an incredibly reasonable price. Will return!

Highland House is the ONLY place we stay in Cape May when visiting with our two French Bulldogs. The owner Dave is an exceptional host and always makes us feel so welcome. The historic accommodations are lovely and we especially appreciated Suite Room 2 that had a private entrance and gated deck so we could enjoy the outdoors in private. The beds are comfortable, the shower is great, and the location is everything you could want, including a 10 minute walk to the Ocean where dogs are welcomed after Sept 30. This is a special place that enables pet parents like us to create lifetime memories and we are truly grateful! Highland House delivers warmth, a homelike environment and an exceptional value for the price. we can’t wait to return again and again!!
