My husband and I love animals, especially dogs. We love taking our pup Waffles on adventures whenever we can.

If you're looking for something quirky to do that doesn't take up too much of your time, I recommend this place. It's very informative and they have a great collection of specimens. Plus, at the end of your tour, if your dog was brave and well-behaved they receive a certificate for their bravery and a treat from the curator.

We actually live in Albuquerque, but we had guests visiting for the holidays so we took a trip to Old Town and visited this store. The staff were really friendly and they even have a corner with dog souvenirs. We got lucky in that it wasn't super busy when we went.

We stopped at Hotel Elev8 on our drive back to Albuquerque from San Francisco. We got into Flagstaff at night and decided it would be smarter (and safer) to stop for the night. A quick BringFido search pulled up this hotel, and we're so glad we decided to go with it! The front desk staff was really nice and understanding, putting us on the first floor. They do charge a pet fee, but it wasn't too terrible. Upon check-in, they gave Waffles a little welcome package that consisted of 2 wooden bowls, a tennis ball, and two large biscuits. They also recently installed a little dog park area behind the hotel. It is near the highway, but is completely fenced in. There is even a table and chairs in the park as well as shade trees for added comfort. Waffles had fun playing with the tennis ball in the park before we got back on the road. If we're ever in or passing through Flagstaff again, this place is definitely on our list of places to stay.
