Great music and lots of samples
DogFest San DiegoThe festival was smaller than I thought, but the booths were very generous with samples. Lots of cute dog accessories to buy and more uncommon things like dog paddle boarding and surfing.
It was located in downtown San Diego which is why I gave it four bones. Anyone who lives here knows that parking downtown is a pain and costly.
Super dog friendly
Bull's Smokin' BBQThis place has great outdoor seating for dinning with your dog. They also have large rib bones for your dog to chew on while you dine. The bbq is also delicious. The service is friendly and fast. A must go for casual dinning with you pooch.
Friendly, and delicious
Fred's Mexican Cafe in Old TownI came here with my hubby, mother -in- law and my pup. The service was friendly and there was no wait. We had a bean and cheese burrito, tacos mahi mahi and a chicken tostada. The portions were generous and delicious. The beans and rice were also yummy. They have a menu for dogs and my pup had the Cujo carne asada. It smelled so good and it was a large portion. I recommend this place for all those visiting Old Town, San Diego. One thing, parking is a bit difficult on weekends. Stay off the main drag and park on the residential streets.
Dog Festival
Doggie Street Festival San DiegoI took my dog Wishbone there this morning. There were a lot of vendors from natural foods for dogs, clothing, leashes, collars and even veterinary services. There were also booths with different puppies that were up for adoption. Other than shopping, I didn't see any other activities, but it was a good place to spend time together. My dog left with a tummy full of treats and a large bag of free samples from the vendors.
Flys and food not good
Puny John’s BBQThe pulled pork was bland and tasted boiled. The mac and cheese tasted weird. The brisket was decent. They have outdoor seating for you and your dog. However, there are flies constantly harassing you and I got bitten four times on my legs from something outside. Left soon after.
Simple and delicious
O K Cafe TombstoneWent here for breakfast with hubby and my dog. They have tables outside for eating with your pooch. I went inside and ordered corn beef hash, biscuits and gravy and a side of bacon for doggy. The server was a sweetie and the locals who are regulars were also friendly.
The food was simple but well done. Delicious!
