My senior (large bully breed) dog and I stayed for multiple days at The Village Inn. There was no fuss over bringing him. There's a cute little pond out front with a bench on a little island, and plenty of grass areas to walk your dog. Blowing Rock is super dog-friendly, and there's plenty of sidewalks as well. The bed was too high for my dog (too heavy for me to lift), but if you have steps for your dog, bring them. There was space for a giant dog bed and we were absolutely comfortable and happy the entire time. The room was clean, individual HVAC system works very well, and it's all one-level at The Village Inn so there are no worries about stairs for an senior dog. Everything is easily accessible by foot/paw and the majority of local shops adore having pets visit. I am absolutely coming back to The Village Inn.
