Do Not Book!

My husband and I were driving from Tennessee to Texas for Thanksgiving and needed a place to split up the drive. We had our dog with us, and because I’ve never stayed in a hotel with a pet before, I wanted to make sure we’d book somewhere that was okay with dogs. When we rolled in around midnight after 5 hours of driving, we were greeted with SEVERAL unpleasant surprises. Despite BringFido’s automated email saying "so there won’t be any unpleasant surprises at check-in..”.

First of all, there were some sketchy characters loitering in the parking lot. Didn’t feel very safe. The room itself was an absolute dump. Stains all over everything, holes in the walls, lighter burn marks on the toilet seat (probably from drug use), bathroom was filthy. The toilet DIDN’T EVEN FLUSH. IT WAS BROKEN. We also booked a non-smoking room, and it had a heavy smoke smell. There was so much noise going on outside at 1am (cars pulling in and out, people loitering) that our dog kept popping up out of concern. He was so uncomfortable and unsettled that he crawled behind the bed and was shaking there. (I’ve never seen him do this….)

My husband and I were lying in the bed wide awake, just trying to make it through one night because we needed to finish our drive the next day, and we were so uncomfortable that we decided we’d rather drive through the night than stay at that dump. We were there for one hour total.

According to their email "* This property advises that enhanced cleaning and guest safety measures are currently in place. Disinfectant is used to clean the property; commonly-touched surfaces are cleaned with disinfectant between stays.” THERE IS NO WAY this place has been sanitized. It was just absolutely filthy. We took the dog to the lawn area and there were tons of cigarettes – NOT dog friendly. DO NOT BOOK and TAKE THIS HOTEL OFF THIS SITE. Not only was this hotel not pet-friendly, it was not human-friendly!!! I cannot believe this place is even allowed to operate. I feel robbed for wasting $80 here and will be attempting to get a refund.
