Excellent and value motel
Farmhouse MotelRoom was very clean and comfortable and way better than expected for a motel. Plenty of space for pups to go to the toilet with bags provided close to the rooms. Beds are comfy, good heating, has coffee maker and fridge. Close to the town as well and just $10 pet fee per night. Would definitely stay again
Big off leash space and on leash hiking
Cap Homme and Ralph Adams ParkHuge off leash area at the base of the trails and some amazing views from the top. As always, bring plenty of water though there's a fountain near the bottom of the trail for the pups
Big and clean
Best Western Plus Big AmericaBook a king suite with separate living room. Staff were super friendly and best is there is no pet fee. Some grassy area round the back of the hotel for toilet breaks.
Very dog friendly
Monterey Peninsula InnWe booked using BringFido and on the room waiting for us was a dog bed, bowl and 2 doggy treats. The bed was a bit too small for our big guy but we'd brought our own.
Hotel is clean, just a few minutes drive out of Monterey and close to beaches and the town.
Breakfast is small and not much seating but fine to grab and go back to your room
Lovely garden and donuts!
Dynamo DonutVery creative and tasty donuts and you can take Fido through the cafe to the garden at the back which is a great place to sit and have a coffee and Donut.
The barista ms are very friendly too.
Best breakfast and brunch
Chloe's CafeAwesome local eatery serving mostly varieties of scrambled eggs or pancakes or sandwiches. Staff are great. I always take guests here. Gets packed on a weekend. Outdoor tables are dog friendly. There's about 4 tables on the street.
Wonderful place
Tiburon TavernThe Tiburon Tavern is part of the Tiburon Lodge and has a lovely outdoor patio (facing the sun) with umbrellas for shade or heaters for when it's chilly. Staff brought my doggie his own bowl and water on a warm day. Nice touch. Lots of salads and sandwiches on the menu and other items. A few veggie choices
Great ice cream
KreemCan take Fido inside or sit outside on the shaded benches.
Lots of ice cream options and even a doggie ice-cream special topped with a milk bone! Vegan choices available too.
Fab dog park
David H. Ready Palm Springs Dog ParkWe had a great time here. Park is divided into 2 parts, big and small dogs though occasionally some smaller dogs were in the big dog section.
It is a big space, lots of friendly dogs and owners. We were staying in PS for 4 days and visited every day.
There are 3 water fountains (in the big park), plenty of seating for humans and some shady spots to shelter from the PS sun.
Plenty of free parking outside.
Wish I had this park near me!
Good stay in PS
Vagabond Motor HotelWe stayed in one of the refurbished rooms (just a few dollars extra and worth it). Room was simple but clean and had most things you need (ask at reception for coffee maker).
It's very dog friendly, the only place you can't take Fido into is the café for breakfast but you can take them into to pool area (where the café is located) and sit outside or by the pool.
Staff were friendly and the hotel is about 20 min walk from South part of downtown. Hotel was quiet at night.
Pet fee was around $11.50 per night. If you plan to stay here, check with the hotel direct for a cheaper rate, they gave us a good deal compared to what we were offered online.
Good food, slow service
Walnut Ave CafeAs we arrived the server had brought out two unwanted strips of bacon and offered it to my boy which he loved.
After that they seemed to forget about us for a while on the outside tables. We weren't offered a doggie menu or water bowl.
The food was good, just need to be more aware of the people on the patio tables
Amazing food
SUR at the BarnyardSat on the patio, about 6 outdoor tables. The server brought a bowl of ice water for my dog and he had the 1/2 burger from the doggie menu which he loved.
Several veggie options. Highly recommend the flatbread and eggplant parmigiana.
Wonderful beach
Carmel BeachClose to Carmel is the main beach where dogs can roam of leash. My boy loved it. We walked a bit along the beach to a quiet area so he could romp around in the sand.
It's so pretty.
Keep on leash
Asilomar State BeachA nice but busy beach full of children on a school trip.
Theydon loved the sand and it is a lovely stretch of coastline. Dogs need to be kept on leash at all times
Excellent dog park
Sherwood Dog ParkTook doggie there for a quick burst during a road trip. Park divided into small and big dogs. Huge space for them to run around. A few dogs there around 10am and everyone was friendly. There is a suggested donation of $1 which we gladly have as we stayed for at least half hour of fun.
Very nice hotel
La Quinta by Wyndham Paso RoblesLots of space for Fido to walk and relive themselves with clean up bags provided.
Room was very comfortable with a lovely, soft mattress. Still no extra pet fee (yet) at this hotel.
Breakfast was decent though no pets allowed in the lobby/breakfast area.
Nice gym, close to wineries and short drive to food outlets.
