Convenient stop while traveling
Holiday Inn Express Fredericksburg Southpoint an IHG HotelHotel is in a convenient area when stopping for the night. Lots of food choices, right off expressway. Room was sufficient. The hotel does not have good outdoor lighting, the only spot with bright lights was an area between hotel and McDonalds which is mostly lined with large shrubs.
Very noisy
Best Western ChambersburgIf you’re looking for a quiet place to stop this isn’t it. Lots of noise from traffic. Walls were so thin I could hear the entire conversation from room next to ours. Beds are very high so if you have a dog with mobility issues you’ll have to pick them up. Carpet is very dated & worn. There is a small gap between door and frame starting from the bottom and going up to the handle. Dog friendly rooms are down a hallway with no direct access to outside, need to walk all the way back through lobby. Grass area is well lit and right next to parking lot. There were a lot of cigarette butts outside entrance, if your dog eats things off ground be aware.
Cute coffee shop/dog boutique
MuttigansI love going to Muttigan’s every time I’m in the area. The best part is sitting on their porch in the swing enjoying a beverage while my pups enjoy a pup cup.
