Clean & friendly
Napa Winery InnStayed in a recently renovated room on ground floor. Had some traffic noise from nearby Hwy 29 but it was easily drowned out with room A/C fan. Included a quick simple continental breakfast (coffee, pastries, bagels, waffles, cereal, yogurt, eggs, etc). Plenty of eating & dog-walking options in short driving distance.
Great food & dog friendly
Gott's RoadsideDefinitely worth going out of your way to eat here with your doggie. Lots of shaded outdoor picnic tables in front and especially out back. A staff member noticed our dog and a minute later a full water bowl magically appeared:-)
Surroundings surprisingly dog friendly
Super 8 by Wyndham Fort BraggHotel itself is pretty dated but reasonably clean, and friendly staff. For dog walks: best is 2-min drive down N Harbor Drive to the Noyo off-leash dog beach; next-best are 2 vacant weedy lots behind hotel & also the neighborhood behind. For dog-friendly restaurants we went to the nearby Noyo Fish Company with all outdoor tables - good fish tacos, locally brewed beers, and dog-friendly customers & staff.
Ok, not great, but dog friendly
Best Western Arcata InnLarge room, friendly staff, room was mostly clean (carpets looked overdue for serious cleaning), dated exterior but updated interior. For dog walks they’ve got a parched grassy area which might be enough for some dogs. More grassy areas are down the street, south of hotel-row. For breakfast I’d recommend Jitter Beans located across the street. Otherwise, the location seems completely centered on freeway travelers.
Good road trip stop
Shilo Inn Suites Hotel - Klamath FallsClean, quiet, large room, friendly staff, but wimpy wifi often had no connection (otherwise would be 5 bones). Great dog-friendly brewpub with outdoor seating and food-trucks for meals, in walking distance..
Great spot to stay
River Lodge and CabinsClean, quiet, beautiful lodge-style building, friendly staff. Adjacent grounds have lots of lush grass for my dog to explore and play frisbee. Nice long riverwalks east & west. The west trail starts near the nearby brewpub/pizza spot, which has lots of outdoor seating and is super dog friendly.
Terrific dog-friendly rustic resort
Eagle Cap ChaletsClean, quiet, very dog-friendly staff, and reasonably priced for the area. Doggie care package was already in room: dog biscuit, doggie towel, and a sheet to cover the bed in case your muddy-footed dog chooses it to lounge on — very thoughtful! Dog walks: 10-min walk to reach park/lake; 5-min walk to reach Glacier Ridge Grill & General Store which has about 5 dog-friendly outdoor tables for lunch & dinner (dinner was terrific). One mile south is a national forest service trailhead. Several trail options, but we took West trail which climbed thru beautiful woods and along the cascading Wallowa River, but skipped going as far as Wallowa Falls. A great place to stay in a beautiful corner of Oregon.
Simple, clean, reasonably priced
Motel 6 Redmond OrNice, clean, doggies welcome. No grassy patch when we were there but several adjacent properties to the north have plush green grass, if you don’t mind the highway traffic. Weigand Family Dog Park is a short drive away and worth the trip.
