I wish the app would allow comments without a rating.

We arrived about 3pm from out of town and chose this place for a late lunch after finding it on the BringFido app. Went inside and asked to verify that dogs were allowed on the patio. Bartender said yes but that you have to order inside. I started to check out the menu but the.n he told me the patio doesn’t open until 5pm. Seems like he could have led with that info. :)

This was on a Friday afternoon in March, so patio availability may change seasonally but I would suggest calling before showing up. Also, you will need to tag team ordering inside while the other person stays outside with the dogs so not a great option for a single person.

We ended up at The Nook and enjoyed that.

Stopped here to grab a late lunch with the corgis from out of town when we found it on the BringFido app. While they have a limited food menu—several Cajun/creole options like crawfish etoufee and gumbo, 3 sandwiches, some salads and bar food style appetizers—this is more a neighborhood pub. The beer menu is two pages single spaced! Also has full bar.
I had 1/2 sandwich & gumbo. Ribeye sandwich was great. Gumbo was a little too tomatoey for my taste, but ok.

Dogs were happy on an enclosed patio (I had to go inside and ask them to unlock the gate as it is locked from inside but that may have been because we arrived during off hours between lunch and dinner.) it’s not covered but has large trees that would provide good shade if it were sunny.

We had tacos—duck and short rib were fantastic, but all were good.

Patio is screened in with ceiling fans, so would be nice even when warmer or cooler than typical patio weather.

when i review restaurants for Bring Fido, I’m less concerned about the food (you can go to other sites for that) and more about how comfortably you can enjoy a meal with your dog.
Henley is attached to the Aertson Hotel and has a nice patio that is shaded by the building in the morning and lots of umbrellas to provide shade all day long. Yadi got lots of attention and had a good time! (And enjoyed a little bacon!)

Not sure how i shared the photo without leaving a review, but here it is…Jobo’s has a limited menu focusing on fresh, locally sourced ingredients and it’s all good.
We come in through the hotel lobby and Yadi (our corgi) thinks these are his peeps. They always bring him a bowl of water and he’s even gotten a treat.
The outdoor patio has a railing so you and doggo are not right out on the street. Lots of room and it’s covered but be aware that the afternoon sun can be harsh—be sure to bring your sunglasses.

you can’t go wrong with a smash burger, but it’s all good.

Neon Pig has two picnic type tables on the sidewalk in front of their storefront. they are not under cover. they are on the east side of the building so I’m the afternoon you have shade.

Sadly, Kermit’s has closed permanently at this location. those of us who have loved each iteration of Mitch’s culinary journey were sad to see it go and look forward to seeing what the Kermit gang does next!
