This lodging is full of cool history, puts you right on The Strand in Hermosa Beach, affords some crazy fun people watching on the beach and is pet friendly to boot! Jay, Logan and Tara were great to deal with.

The room was wonderfully equipped, and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and the kitchenette was very serviceable with a nice size hotel fridge. This Inn is somewhat remote, located as it is near Lake Shasta, so we really appreciated the fact that the inn had a nicely priced dinner menu we could choose from (limited choices, but our meal was fantastic.) Our breakfast was wonderful as well, and it was included in our lodging cost. The grounds are well kept. We will definitely stay here again on another trip.

The hotel was nice, bed comfy, river view lovely, but when the heater shut off and died at 9:00, we called the office twice and no one answered. We are disappointed on three levels: one, the only heat in the room died; two, no one in the office to request a new room from; and three, no one in the office seemed to care at all the next morning and made no concession for our cold night. Very disappointing.

Our pup was treated great at reception, and we had a comfy one-night stay. Guests and staff alike were fascinated by our chill little guy, reinforcing our dedication to traveling with our pet!

The attention to detail in the renovation of this old motor hotel is so well done. Dreamy bed, cool decor and art, next to a cool park for our pup, great community room….we loved it. Our only suggestion-if you’re staying in the off season when it’s cold, bring fuzzy socks or slippers. The polished concrete floors were unbearably cold. The hotel kindly provided single use spa slippers, but we didn’t find them on the top closet shelf until the morning we were leaving.

A comfortable bed, a cozy curl-up-in-me chair, a large clean dog area, and a small kitchenette made our stay very pleasant.

We spent a marvelous evening at this property. Our dog was just as happy as we were! Every room has an amazing view of the ocean, the room was well furnished, and the bed was a dream. The bathroom was beautifully appointed. It was a quiet night and we slept well before our journey the next day. We will definitely return.

We enjoyed two nights in the standalone cottage at the back. The great room is very sizable, the couch comfortable, the bathroom is a dream, and the bed was super comfortable. We found the area/neighborhood to be generally very quiet, but the HVAC system for our unit was really noisy. In fact, we could not run the heat at night or we wouldn’t be able to sleep with the noise.

We've stay here before on our way south. The staff at check-in was kind and courteous. Breakfast has various choices and the attendant kept everything filled. The property is time worn and our room is probably due for new flooring soon, but the lobby was cozy with a fire and very updated. We slept well.

We loved our stay here! Comfy bed, really enjoyed the gas fireplace, the Dutch door, the inn’s central location and the quiet! Good parking. We’ll be back!

Comfy bed, dreamy pillows, clean room, great bathroom, very quiet. We would however suggest you seek breakfast off property. The room service breakfast we paid for (wasn’t included with lodging) was not-totally-cooked breakfast potatoes, dry flavorless scrambled egg and some link sausage with dry stale toast.

I was in Bend for a funeral, just a one night stay, and wasn’t traveling with my dog. I booked with the BringFido app anyway, as it’s so fast and easy. This hotel is well priced and has nicely appointed rooms, a diverse breakfast offering and pleasant staff. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

This motel was perfect for us! hey gave our dog treats, the room was spotless, bed super comfy, bathroom very clean, AC worked well on our 94° stay, safe area to walk our dog, and the pool was delightful at day’s end! The continental breakfast available in the lobby offered a diverse selection. I should note the room was very quiet and traffic dies down at night, so don’t worry about being on the Main Street! Thanks for a great stay!

We are on a road trip and stayed here one night along the way. A very clean room and bathroom, great air conditioning (it was HOT while we were there), very clean pool, good places to walk our dog, and what a nice surprise to be given vouchers for a wide menu for breakfast the next morning at the little restaurant next door. We personally never leave our pet in the room unattended. Dogs tend to be a little insecure in a foreign environment and bark if they are left alone.
My only issue with our stay here was that a couple down the hall from us went out that night and left their two dogs in the room. They barked until well after 11:30 at night. I mentioned this to the front desk the next morning, and she emphasized we absolutely should’ve called the front desk and let them know. They have phone numbers for all the guests and would’ve called and demanded that they returned to quiet their animals. I regret not having done that and really appreciate the management’s offer of assistance had we reported it.

Loved that we could enjoy happy hour on the patio facing the golf course with our chiweenie. Successfully dug a dozen razor clams at low tide right nearby. Bed was comfortable and bathroom clean and well appointed. While we understand the rooms are smaller because this we’ll-remodeled structure dates back to the 20s or 30s, we humans were disappointed that for the price we paid for the room, we didn’t have any seating in the room (not a single chair), nor a small fridge, which we needed for our refrigerated dog food, and find so often in lodgings. The coffee on the landing each morning was much appreciated by hubby, but as a tea drinker, while I always travel with my own tea, I was disappointed the hot water carafe was tainted by having had coffee in it at some time. A top notch lodging will understand the need for a hot-water-only carafe for people who don’t drink coffee. Otherwise, we enjoyed great food in the restaurant, kind staff, slept well, and found it very dog friendly.

Stunning piece of history beautifully preserved while modern updates satisfy! Check-in was quick and easy, bed was super comfy, room was quiet, bathroom well appointed and breakfast was diverse, tasty and healthy. Our dog loved the lobby!

Check-in was easy. Bed comfy. Breakfast bag in am contained small water bottle, orange juice, hard boiled egg and breakfast bars. Traffic quieted around 10 pm; slept well.

Check-in was seamless. The decanter of Sherry was a nice touch after we checked into our room, as were the Lindor chocolates. Tracy was very kind to bring ice to our room that night. And the breakfast basket the next morning was lovely. The basket contained a bagel with cream cheese and an English muffin, orange juices, a banana, a tangerine, an apple, and yogurts! The room was well appointed, the bed was super comfy, and the suite was on an ever-so-quiet street. Stacy permitted us to leave our car parked while we strolled the village and the four blocks to the charming pocket beach! We’ll return.

Check-in was seamless and our quiet comfy room and great bed were just what we needed after a long day of driving. The sunny courtyard was a pleasant place to enjoy morning beverages and a terrific breakfast. All kinds of choices were available at the breakfast bar, which was very nice. The management kindly allowed us to leave our car in the lot while we walked along the beach before we left. We greatly appreciated that.
