Loved the dog park

PetSafe Unleashed Dog Park

We came both days that we were here visiting and brought our German Shepherd. She loved it. There were things for her to climb on and PLENTY of other dogs for her to play with. Everyone was so friendly.
The only downside is that the water fountains don’t work for you to fill up the water bowls. But both times we were there, people had brought jugs of water to fill them up, so I don’t think the dogs are ever without water. I guess locals know to bring water out or maybe someone who works for the parks.

Only ones there

Foxfire Mountain Adventure Park

I guess we came during the off season, but we just left and we were the only ones there. That was fine by us because they have a bunch of swinging bridges that connect and our dog LOVED them. Since no one is else was there, my husband would get on one end of the bridges and I would get on the other end, and we would let Leia just run. She had a blast. That was her favorite part. She did that several times.
It rained hard last night and the day before, but for some reason, there was no waterfall where it was supposed to be. It was still a really neat area though.
If you’re like me and don’t exercise, just FYI, the hike is a little steep. I had to stop once or twice to catch my breath. haha.
We paid $25/per person entry fee. But it’s for an entire week. So if you’re going, go on your first day so if you decide to go back, it’s already paid for. It might sound kind of steep, but we had the place to ourselves and we’re on vacation so it was worth it to us.
The only negative about this place is once we got there, there were no signs showing where to go to pay for the hiking and such, so we were kind of lost. We also didn’t have cell phone signal. My husband had to drive around until he found someone to tell him where to go.
