This is a very nice quiet hotel. Very clean and comfortable. The four bones is to alert people to the $75 PER PET which is higher than our experience crossing the country with 2 dogs. Also, as of May 1, 2025 they are charging $10 per night for parking! Whaaat?!

We love The Winslow! It’s sparkling clean, friendly, and the rooms are lovely, clean, and like new! The floors are laminate hardwood which is good for pet rooms as they are always clean. No smelly carpets! There is plenty of dog walking space outside and it’s convenient to the highway but quiet. Have stayed here twice & definitely recommend.

Nice hotel, easy check-in, clean comfortable room, large grassy area outback for walking, and a lovely doggie blanket and treats for our girls! The $25 pet fee was a real selling point for us seeing hotels near vacation spots often charge A LOT more! But overall, everything was wonderful.

Great hotel, spotlessly clean. Great walking areas for dogs. We were there on a Saturday night and had a room in the back of the hotel which we thought would be great. However, there were some folks, perhaps not even hotel guests, who decided to have a little party out back in the parking lot at 2:30 in the morning and woke everybody up. I think that was a one-time thing and shouldn’t deter anyone from staying at this nice hotel. But maybe ask for a room that’s not in the back! Young girl at check-in was very nice and helpful, too!

The Highlander is in a wonderful quiet location with tons of grassy area for dogs to play. Rooms have retro vibe, and comfortable beds. However, they seem in need of a little refresh. Towels are kind of old and bathrooms have patches on the walls where things must have fallen off. Still, if running your pups after many hours in the car, this place is perfect!

The Homestead was a great stay with lots of grassy areas around the sides and back for the dogs. It appears they have recently redone the rooms and they were really nice as were the bathrooms. And the towels were nicer, whiter and fluffier than any I have seen in roadside hotels and motels in two cross country trips in the past couple of years!! Would go out of my way to stay there again!

Arrowwood is right on the river and we had a downstairs room with an outside door to the patio. It was a great spot for morning coffee with wide areas of grass for our dogs to run a little, etc. The double queen rooms are large, clean, comfortable beds, lots of pillows and a big “bar” area with sink, fridge and microwave. One of the most vacation-like spots for an overnight on our journey across the country!

The La Quinta by Wyndham was a great place to stay with our dogs. Looks like it was recently refurbished, had lots of outside doggie potty spots and best of all had lovely clean engineered wood floors instead of the usually brown yucky (how many hidden pet stains?) carpets most dog friendly rooms have. Jus wish all pet friendly hotels were as nice. Also, we needed to stay past the 11am checkout time and asked for 12 noon and they said, “How about 1pm?” Priceless! :)

Great wide open space for dogs to run a little after long car ride. Clean comfortable room. Front entrance could use some paint as it makes you feel the place is run down, but it’s actually quite nice. A little negative was they would only issue one room key because they were short on stock! We left our tall skinny 27lb pup in the room for literally 5 minutes to grab our bags out of the car and when we returned she had push on the safety latch and basically locked us out of the room! 5 bones to the maintenance man who came right away, but couldn’t help. But luckily we were able to fish a leash through the door and get it opened. Phew! we had visions of having to have the firemen come with a ladder (3rd floor!) and climb through a window to get inside to open the door! Bet that’s never happened before to anyone! :)

Wonderful overnight stay with two rooms and two dogs. Clean, large and comfortable rooms. Very friendly staff, and large outside area for walking the dogs.

Friendly staff. Quiet hotel and location off the highway. Nice large grassy area to walk dogs. Contrary to other hotels this La Quinta Inn actually had poop bags available and trash can hence you could walk safely in the grass!
