Cape Spear Lighthouse National Historic Site
See the first sunrise in North America at dog-friendly Cape Spear Lighthouse National Historic Site in St. John's, NL. Situated on Canada’s easternmost point on a rugged cliff, the oldest surviving lighthouse in the region was constructed back in 1836. Leashed dogs are welcome to join their owners in the grounds surrounding the lighthouse to gaze out across the ocean and get a glimpse into times gone by in Newfoundland.
