The pet-friendly Uwharrie National Forest spans 51,850 acres across Montgomery, Randolph and Davidson Counties, with Troy, NC serving as a popular entry point. It boasts the picturesque Uwharrie, Yadkin and Pee Dee rivers, along with the Uwharrie Mountains, offering diverse outdoor activities like hiking, horseback riding, camping and water sports.
