Rosie's Dog Beach Bring Fido to splash in the water at Rosie's Dog Beach in Long Beach, CA! This area is not fenced in and is not a dedicated "dog beach", but pups are permitted to visit with their owners during the daily Dog Zone hours, 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM. James Island County Park A visit to dog-friendly James Island County Park is a great way to spend an afternoon in Charleston, SC, with your pup. Huntington Dog Beach Huntington Dog Beach in Huntington Beach, CA is considered a dog-friendly heaven by most visitors. Dogs come from all over the world to play in the sand and splash in the surf. Visitors are asked to abide by good doggy etiquette which includes properly disposing of pet waste and ensuring that your dog is non-aggressive and under control at all times. Knoebels Amusement Resort Make new memories the old-fashioned way with classic roller coasters, dog-friendly rides, swimming, camping, golf and attractions for the whole family! Well-behaved pets are permitted at Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, PA, but owners will be responsible for controlling and cleaning up after them. Pets must be leashed or in a carrier at all times. Pups aren't allowed on most of the rides but are welcome to ride the train, boats and antique cars. The park reserves the right to ask guests with pets to leave the park if the policy is not adhered to. Admission and parking are free! Tickets or wristbands must be purchased to ride. See Details
Dog Mountain Dog Mountain is THE meeting place for dogs with their people. Located in the breathtakingly beautiful Northeast Kingdom of St. Johnsbury, Vermont, this 150-acre farm has been transformed into a doggy playscape complete with swimming ponds, hiking trails, an art gallery full of dog-related artwork and the only Dog Chapel in existence. The Chapel, built by Vermont folk artist and children's book author Stephen Huneck, is visited by thousands annually to reflect and post message and photos of pets that have passed on. Gatlinburg SkyLift Park Take a ride with Fido to the top of the mountain at Gatlinburg SkyLift Park, a pet-friendly attraction in Tennessee. The only way to access the top of the mountain with your dog is via the yellow SkyLift chairs, and Fido is welcome as long as he is well-behaved, leashed at all times, and held on to by his owner. Garden of the Gods Leashed dogs are welcome at Garden of the Gods, a pet-friendly, Registered National Natural Landmark in Colorado Springs, CO. Fido can join you as you hike along the beautiful trails through the red rock formations and enjoy the stunning views and landscape. The trail extends 1.9 miles one-way from the Sugarlands Visitor Center to the outskirts of the city. Gettysburg National Military Park Leashed dogs are allowed to visit the outside portions of the battlefield at the pet-friendly Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania. Gettysburg was one of the most famous American battlefields, which marked the turning point in the Civil War. Later, President Lincoln gave his famous Gettysburg Address here. The battlefield consists of auto and walking tours. Please note that dogs are not allowed into buildings or the cemetery. See Details

Palo Duro Canyon State Park Palo Duro Canyon State Park is a spectacular dog-friendly attraction near the Texas Panhandle in Canyon, TX. It was formed by millions of years of water erosion, is 120 miles long, as much as 20 miles wide, and has a maximum depth of more than 800 feet. Its elevation at the rim is 3,500 feet above sea level. It's often claimed that Palo Duro Canyon is the second-largest canyon in the United States. Visitors and their leashed dogs can admire beautiful colorful cliffs that surround the valley and one of the park's most famous rock formations known as The Lighthouse. Custer State Park Custer State Park offers 71,000 acres of amazing views and dog-friendly outdoor experiences in Custer, SD. Leashed dogs are welcome throughout the park. The 18-mile Wildlife Loop allows pets and humans to explore the park and view the indigenous wildlife from the comfort of the car. There are also many dog-friendly hiking trails where pets are welcome to join the fun. Set out on a hike along Black Elk Peak Loop, a seven-mile route with stunning views of the cathedral spires and Black Hills wilderness. Cliff Walk The Cliff Walk in Newport, RI, is a dog-friendly public trail with beautiful views of the Newport shoreline and historic Newport. Buffalo Trace Distillery Bring Fido to Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, KY for a tour of the distillery. Most of the property is dog friendly, including the tasting area and gift shop. Dogs are not allowed in the bottling building. Tours range from a National Historic Landmark Tour to a Ghost Tour of the paranormal areas featured on "Ghost Hunters." Kentucky Horse Park The Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington is the state's largest state-owned tourist attraction. The park is dedicated to sharing Kentucky’s love of horses with the world, and hosts nearly one million visitors and 19,000 competition horses in 200 special events and horse shows annually. It's a working horse farm, educational theme park, equine competition facility, and equine office park all in one. Dogs are allowed to accompany their owners on the park's outdoor grounds as long as they are leashed or confined to an approved kennel. If carried or confined to a wheeled kennel, pets are allowed to go into the gift shop, but they may not go inside restaurants or the Alltech Arena. Dog-friendly outdoor seating is available at the restaurants. Pets are allowed in the museum lobby but not in the museum exhibits, so visitors will need to take turns staying with their pets outside of these areas. Pets are not allowed to be left unattended in vehicles, roam without a leash, or tied-out on the grounds. See Details
