Bear Lake State Park in St. Charles, ID, is a dog-friendly destination located on the border between Idaho and Utah. Split between the two states, this stunning lake is often called the Caribbean of the Rockies. Enjoy plenty of hiking opportunities in the area, and you may even spot some wildlife, including Canada geese, grebes, bald eagles, pelicans, blue herons, rabbits, coyote, muskrat, and beavers. When the weather is hot, your pooch can take a dip in Snake River that can be accessed from one of the nature trails. Idaho Potato Museum in Blackfoot, ID is a pet-friendly historical museum in a former railroad depot. Pups will love the jogging paths that are along a beautiful area close to the South Fork of the Teton River. It's away from traffic and in a more tranquil environment. Harriman State Park in Idaho is a waterfowl and wildlife refuge, where leashed pets are welcome to explore beyond the parking lot in the winter season.
