The Round Valley Reservoir is a dog-friendly recreation area in Lebanon, NJ. It covers 2,350 acres with opportunities for boating, camping, fishing, picnicking and lifeguarded swimming. Bushkill Falls is not only a dog-friendly activity, but one of the Pocono Mountains' most famous attractions in Bushkill, PA! Spanning 300 acres with accessible eight waterfalls, the park has over two miles of walking trails, perfect for exploring with Fido. There are four trails with varying degrees of difficulty, but please note there are many stairs. The park is closed from December through March, and operations are weather-dependent in April and November.

W. Leroy Lewis Dog Park, previously Middle Smithfield Township Dog Park, is conveniently located right off of Route 209 in East Stroudsburg, PA. This beautiful, large park has separate sections for large and small dogs, a gravel walking path around the outside of the off-leash areas, shade trees, seating and 6' tall fences. A water spigot is located in the parking lot to provide water for the dogs. In the winter, the park is home to the Township’s temporary ice rink for skating.

Kittatinny Valley State Park is a pet-friendly recreation area in Andover, NJ. Sections of the Paulinskill Natural Trail and the Sussex Branch Trail, constructed atop two former railroads, can be accessed from the park. You might even see a musher and his dogsled team running down the trail. Unfortunately, pets are not permitted to stay overnight in any of the facilities.

Visit the dog-friendly Allamuchy Mountain State Park in Stanhope, NJ. There are several miles of trails to explore with your pooch along the Musconetcong River, with some of the best trout fishing in the state to boot.
