During this off-season period, leashed dogs can enjoy the luscious sandy beach that stretches along the mouth of the Kennebec River. There are also plenty of pretty picnic spots with charcoal grills, many of which overlook the water. Dogs are permitted in campgrounds, with the exception of Sebago Lake State Park Campground.
