Off-Leash Dog Parks in Mascot, AU

Centennial Parklands is one of the most dog-friendly public parks in Sydney - in fact approximately 43 percent (or 154 hectares) of its open space as off-leash areas. Centennial Parklands offer areas for both on- and off-leash dog walking. Sandstone Ridge and Federation Valley are both popular locations for off-leash dog walking.

Dogs are not permitted to swim in the ponds, in children's playgrounds, within 10 metres of Federation Pavilion and within 10 metres of Centennial Parklands Dining facility. However, there are dog tethering posts around the dining facility.

Henson Park in the Sydney, AU suburb of Marrickville boasts an off-leash dog area. Formerly the site of a brick pit, the park is predominantly used for sporting events these days. However, pups are free to play in a portion of the park without a leash on the eastern side when no sporting events are taking place.

Dogs are allowed off-leash at all times. Dogs are not allowed on the playground. Harry Noble Reserve includes a fenced playground, netball rings as well as picnic and barbecue areas.

The neighboring Erskineville Oval is available for hire. Public toilets are available.

Pups can play freely on the grass areas at all times and on sports fields when no games are taking place. Afterwards, grill out with your dog at the BBQ area, find shade under a native tree and check out the restored Glebe railway viaduct.

36th Battalion Park is a dog park in Leichhardt near Annandale, NSW. The southern half of 36th Battalion Park is an open grassy area that welcomes dogs to play off-leash any time of the day. When you're finished playing fetch in the park, be sure to put your dog's leash back on before walking out of the gated area. Dogs are not permitted near the children's playground.

Elkington Park welcomes pups to play off-leash in the Balmain neighborhood of Sydney, AU. The north-western section between Tilba Avenue and White Horse Point welcomes pups to play without a leash on at any time of the day. If you plan on wandering around the rest of the park, be aware that dogs are only allowed off-leash from 4 p.m. to 10 a.m. Additionally, dogs are not permitted within 10 meters of the children's playground area.

Smith, Hogan and Spindlers Park is an off-leash area in Annandale, AU. Pups can play off-leash in a designated area of the park between the bridge near Taylor Street and the underpass at The Crescent at any time of the day, except when sports are taking place when dogs must be leashed. Pups are also not permitted within 10 meters of the children's playground area.

Easton Park in Rozelle, AU is home to an off-leash area where dogs can play. The western section of the park next to Lilyfield Road, Denison Street and Burt Street is a designated zone for dogs to play off-leash, as well as the sporting ground when events aren't taking place.

Birrung Park is an off-leash area in the neighborhood of Balmain in Sydney, AU. Dogs with good recall are permitted to play off-leash at this dog park without a fence at any time of the day.

Dickson Reserve is a pet-friendly place in Bondi, AU. This neighborhood spot has a lower park with a playground and seating, and an upper park with a large open grassy area where your pooch can play off leash.

Whites Creek Valley Park is an off-leash area in Annandale, AU. Pups can play in the open grassy area next to White Street, Piper Street and Whites Creek without a leash at any time. If you plan on walking along the pathway next to the creek after a game of fetch, be sure to slip your dog's leash back on. There is also a space to play off-leash in the designated area on the eastern side of Whites Creek Valley Park next to Whites Creek, Piper Street, Smith Street and Wisdom Street, as well as the western side of Whites Creek - beside the Community Garden on White Street. Pets are not permitted in the small separate section adjacent to Arguimbau Street.

War Memorial Park is an off-leash area in Leichhardt, NSW. The centerpiece of the park is a beautiful fig tree. The southern part of the park welcomes dogs at any time, but pups must remain on a leash in the northern area of the park. Dogs are not permitted near the children's playground.

Ewenton Park is an off-leash area in the Balmain neighborhood of Sydney, AU. Pups can play off-leash from 4 p.m. to 10 a.m. every day. Dogs must remain on a leash outside of these times. The park also features a nice lawn, views over the water and benches to sit at while your dog plays.

Ann Cashman Reserve is an off-leash area in the Balmain neighborhood of Sydney, AU. Pups can play off-leash from 4 p.m. to 10 a.m. on the grass at the reserve. Dogs are not permitted within 10 meters of the children's playground area.

Jim Watson Main Arena in St Ives, AU, offers a large, fenced green space for events, markets, and sports. When not in use, the arena becomes an off-leash dog park where local pups can run freely and safely within its secure oval.

Large park with plenty of trails, open spaces, water fountains and fellow furry friends. There's also a small puppy pool to cool off on those dog days of summer!

Bayview Dog Park is an off-leash wooded trail, grassy field and beach in Bayview, NSW, AU. Bring Fido with you while you walk the shaded, unpaved pathway, relax on the open lawn, or cool off in the shallow water. Be mindful that the area is not fenced. Benches, a water fountain, and waste stations are available.

Blackmore Oval is a dog park in Leichhardt, NSW. Pups can play off-leash in the fenced sporting ground area of the park, as long as there are no sports events taking place at the time. During these events, dogs are allowed to be in the park on a leash. Outside of the sporting ground area, be sure to keep your dog on a leash.

Hawthorne Canal Dog Park is a popular grassy space where your pooch is welcome to roam off-leash. Pups must have good voice command as there is no fence around this park, which is instead surrounded by Hawthorne Canal, the light rail pathway and canal bridge. Dogs are not allowed to play near the children's playground.
