Pet Friendly Centennial Parklands
Centennial Parklands Centennial Parklands is one of the most dog-friendly public parks in Sydney - in fact approximately 43 percent (or 154 hectares) of its open space as off-leash areas. Centennial Parklands offer areas for both on- and off-leash dog walking. Sandstone Ridge and Federation Valley are both popular locations for off-leash dog walking.

Dogs are not permitted to swim in the ponds, in children's playgrounds, within 10 metres of Federation Pavilion and within 10 metres of Centennial Parklands Dining facility. However, there are dog tethering posts around the dining facility.

Pups must have good voice command as there is no fence around this park, which is instead surrounded by Hawthorne Canal, the light rail pathway and canal bridge. Pups can play in the open grassy area next to White Street, Piper Street and Whites Creek without a leash at any time. If you plan on walking along the pathway next to the creek after a game of fetch, be sure to slip your dog's leash back on. There is also a space to play off-leash in the designated area on the eastern side of Whites Creek Valley Park next to Whites Creek, Piper Street, Smith Street and Wisdom Street, as well as the western side of Whites Creek - beside the Community Garden on White Street.
