The Coyote Creek Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in San Jose! The map below shows a parking area with convenient access to the Coyote Creek Trail. Martial Cottle Park is a 287-acre, pet-friendly urban park in San Jose, CA, celebrating sustainable agriculture and local history. Leashed dogs are welcome to join you on the perimeter walking trail and throughout the park's green spaces, picnic areas, and educational exhibits honoring the Cottle family's farming legacy.

Bring your dog to this walk in the Plaza de Cesar Chavez, also known Cesar Chavez Park. The park spans two acres in the middle of downtown San Jose. As you stroll, take time to smell the all of the beautiful flowers and let Fido splash in the water fountains. The dog-friendly park is a hub of activity and you may get to experience one of the festivals and live music performances frequently held in the plaza.

Leashed dogs are welcome at the 14-acre William Street Park in the historic Naglee Park neighborhood of San Jose. Walk your dog in the grassy area shaded by trees. Bark in the Park is held here each year.
